If you’re looking for one of the best chicken fried steaks in San Antonio, this is the place! The chicken fried steak here is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and smothered in rich country gravy — seriously unforgettable. The portions are generous and the Southern comfort food is top-tier.
What really makes the experience stand out is the awesome customer service, especially from our server Tianna — friendly, attentive, and truly made our visit extra special. This place is a must-try for breakfast or brunch lovers and anyone craving heartfelt Southern cooking. Highly recommend! ❤️

At Bobbie’s Southern Kitchen and Pie Bar, comfort greets you at the door,
Where Southern warmth and flavors promise plenty more.
The biscuits arrive—towering, proud, and wide,
One hearty bite in, they hold together with Southern pride.

No crumble, no mess, just buttery bliss,
The kind of biscuit you lean back and don’t want to miss.
Portions roll out generous, bold, and grand,
Enough for the whole family—no one leaves underplanned.

Pancakes hit the table, golden and true,
Cooked to perfection, fluffy straight through.
Each forkful says, slow down, enjoy the day,
While the coffee and laughter both seem to stay.

And just when you think the moment can’t pause,
In stroll Mr. and Mrs. Claus—yes, the real Santa applause.
A Christmas-week surprise that made spirits soar,
Proof this place delivers a little magic and more.

The service? Lightning-fast, friendly, and kind,
The kind that sticks pleasantly in your mind.
From kitchen to table, they move with care,
Making you feel like a regular, even your first time there.

So if you’re craving comfort, joy, and a seat at the table,
Bobbie’s delivers it all—warm, filling, and faithful.
Come hungry, bring family, bring holiday cheer,
This Southern kitchen is one worth returning to year after year.

Eggs were cooked over easy not over medium but it still tasted good.
Bacon slow cooked was delicious perfectly crispy
Sausage was good but cold.
The French toast a very good fluffy cooked perfect and very flavorful without syrup
The pancakes were thick fluffy and good
Grilled biscuits we got extra and were amazing that alone could an amazing breakfast with some coffee amazing place
Food was amazing, but got cold very fast sadly.
Waitress Riley was super nice and quick

First time in. Definitely not the last. I highly recommend this treasure of a restaurant. Temperance greeted us with a smile and helped us get in and seated. She checked in to make sure we were taken care of, and we let her (and the manager) know that our waitress Hollie did an excellent job, from start to finish of taking care of us. Wonderful sense of humor, informative, friendly. A great asset to this company. The manager himself was very personable, friendly, warm and kind. We had two delicious breakfast meals – my husband had one with two meats, three eggs, a side (we had hash browns) and toast and I had a huge biscuit with gravy, two eggs, awesome bacon and hash browns. Great prices. Menu has a lot of other wonderful choices and selections as well. Great job, Bobbie’s!

First time here, off a tiktok video recommendation. Honestly loved it! I’d been craving a good chicken fried steak for a while. This place was so cozy even though it’s a decent sized location. The menu was very varied and I’m sure will have something for everyone. Reagan my server today was very kind and attentive. She made sure to even offer recommendations since I’d mentioned it was my first time at the restaurant. All in all it’s definitely worth visiting here. I highly recommend it.

Hidden gem me and some friends meet here for a early afternoon lunch. Had a country kitchen atmosphere, good sitting. We were able to get seated right away, went on a Wednesday early afternoon ( waitress said weekends can get really busy), wasn’t to load or over crowded were able to talk and enjoy our meal. They give you plenty of food for the price with homemade taste. Highly recommended

This place is amazing. The Morning Wrecker is much, much larger that it appears. 2 people could easily share it and still be completely stuffed. The taste was great, I had mine made with chicken fried chicken instead of steak and it was marvelous. The sausage gravy is great too. Nice and thick, not too salty, great flavor. The Anna’s Fancy French Toast was perfectly cooked. The marscapone sauce was fabulous. I literally wanted to lick the plate.
