The atmosphere was amazing and the service was very friendly. The food was not great. It may have been better if it had come out when it was done. We waited probably 25 minutes for our food, but by the look of it was ready at 15 minutes. I didn’t get my potatoes so they made them quickly but they were not cooked. I’ll be back because it’s super cute and food selection looks good, as well as the friendly servive. I’m hoping the food was a one off. So definitely check them out.

This place is incredible. Their food quality is elite because of two good friends, one being a classicly-trained chef, and the other being the proprietor/owner who is a genius on the smoker. Plus, it’s a fun bar with excellent service and a great vibe. They’re expanding with a big outdoor area in the future, which I can’t wait to see. Highly recommend BSR! You’ll be happy whether you just want a can of Hulk Hogan’s beer or if you want a 5-star, chef-quality meal.

We had a great time! The food is fantastic. Looking forward to the deviled eggs, but they were sold out. The manager brought me an ample sample of the Gumbo. I was looking forward to the Soul Bowl, but the menu is being revamped,so
I got the potato with Gumbo and Chili on it… It did not disappoint.

First time there, or waitress Mel was amazing, Wife had the Gumbo, I had the Philly with fries, they season the fries too perfection. They have a caramelized onion dip that I tried with the fries, would highly recommend. One of the better unsweetened ice teas I’ve had in a while. Men’s bathroom, need to check out

A great place to grab a bite to eat! I had the brisket sandwich with french fries and was very happy with my selection. The menu is smaller, so picky eaters might have a difficult time finding something they like, but I still thought they had a decent verity. I also ordered a cider. The server was very friendly and accommodating!

We stopped in for a bite on our way through. We had the club and the brisket dip, both were delicious. We met the owners John and Bobbie Sue and Lisa the server and the chef came out to check on our meal. Everyone was friendly. Includibg rhe custoners! You must check out the bathrooms! Details!

The chicken sandwich was more than we expected and very moist the house made sauce on the side was great. The ribs were great could have had more bbq,The fries were perfectly seasoned. Our server was excellent checking on us regularly her name was Mel, she was very informative to the customers about the dishes she has tried.

Unusually slow service. Hamburger was nearly inedible (tough, over-cooked, covered in hard dried out cheese, bun soaked and compressed flat). But fries were good. When I returned the hamburger uneaten, no questions or offer to provide something else. Another person in our party said the soup was good. Maybe this was a case where skilled service could have covered for an inadequate kitchen. But they didn’t nor did they try. Really, there are better choices in town.

About other reviews. I looked-up this restaurant and found only five-star reviews. Interesting. Why was my experience so different? Well, I checked out the reviewers, and turns out the first has only ever given five-star reviews. Hmm. The second has posted a long string of reviews, all are five stars but one. Hmm again.

I’ll leave it to you, dear reader, to decide what all that means. But if you’re doing it over lunch, make it somewhere else.

I wasn’t going to try it again because our first visit wasn’t great, but I seen the reviews were pretty good. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered brisket sandwich with sauce. The meat was tender and the bread was soft, but the meat nor the dipping sauce had any flavor, so it was edible but bland. The homemade chips were okay. My boyfriend ordered the big potato. He said it was dry so he ask for sour cream. They also forgot the brisket. I didn’t get a cocktail because they were pricey and lacked flavor the last time. if I knew it would have been better than the one I got before I would have ordered one. The only thing that’s makes me consider coming back is some wings I seen on their Facebook page and the tacos sounded good with the Margarita flight. It was a Sunday evening both times we ate there, I.m not sure if that makes a difference or not. Only one other table had customers. Speaking about tables, our chairs were so close together I had a hard time moving In and out. I had to pick the chair up to move it over the table leg base when I wanted to scoot in or out.
