The barbecue at Bobaque in St. Charles was flavorful and moist overall. I ordered the ribs with baked beans, along with an appetizer of fried fish. The ribs themselves were good, and the baked beans were tasty. I usually like to taste ribs without sauce first to see how good the meat really is before adding anything. Unfortunately, my plate came with sauce already on the ribs even though I asked for it on the side. When I mentioned it, a substitute waitress said she was just helping and wouldn’t take the plate back to fix it.

The wait time was the biggest issue. It took about 1.5 hours for the food to arrive, and then another 45 minutes just to get the check, which made the experience frustrating.

My friends ordered the rib tips, and they said they were good. In fact, it looked like the rib tips had more meat on them than the ribs. The fried fish appetizer was dry, and the tartar sauce was really the only thing that helped make it enjoyable.

Overall, the barbecue itself was good, but the long wait times and service issues made the visit less enjoyable than it could have been.

Went on a Sunfay afternoon and thr restaurant was relatively slow. We ordered some Rib Tips, Ribs and chicken fingers with fries, baked beans and potato salad. We ate there because we thought it would be easier.
Pros – the food was really good. The ribs and rib tips were tender and absolutely delicious. These may be the best ribs and ribs tips I’ve had from a restaurant t in STL in a long time. The rib tips were also delicious and extremely tender. The sauce was great and the way it paired with thr potsto salad and baked beans were perfect. The owner was so welcoming and greeted us as soon as we walked in. He even cleared us a table.
Cons – My main complaint was the wait for our food. We waited approximately 45 minutes for our food and then we they brought our food, it was kinda warm but not hot. They also didn’t tell us they were out of fries until they brought out our food. The server we had was not very attentive. I had to go to the bar area to get my own refills, straws and to-go containers because we had not seen her for quite sometime. I also wouldn’t advise getting the tenders but I wasnt expecting much but my kids wanted them.

In summary, I would definitely go again but I would order it to-go. I think if I would have went later in the day when the waitress was there, it would’ve been better service. She was coming in as we were going out and I think that would have been a significant change in service. If you are looking for some of the best BBQ in St. Louis area, please go here! If you choose to eat there, just be mindful of where you sit and ensure the waitress is working at that time, which I think would help your dining experience.

The wife and I had been told that BobaQue had some pretty good eats , so we decided to give it a try . It is located in the New Town area of St. Charles county . The establishment has both inside and outside dining options . As soon as we walked in we were greeted from the owner and from a waitress . It was mid-day and not too crowded . Our waitress was very polite and friendly and checked on our needs often . We tried the 8oz. smoked brisket , mustard base potato salad , creamy coleslaw and the deep fried french fries . Service was fairly fast and hot food was hot & cold food was cold . The brisket was melt in your mouth tender & man , what a good flavor . The sauce (only one kind) was tangy but not too much & a hint of sweet . Potato salad & coleslaw were ok . The deep fried french fries had a little different texture than regular fries , they were good . We thought we got a good value for the money for what all we received . We dined inside , & it was nice , not too noisy & there was a nice sized bar area . We would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys bar-b-q …

Stopped in for the first time today and this place did not disappoint. We enjoyed the smash burger as well as the rib tips. The sauce was very flavorful with a bit of sweet and tangy…it was delicious! We’ll be back to check out the rest of the menu!

My wife and I went to BobaQue for the first time yesterday. The bartender ‘T’ was great helping navigate the menu and had great service. The food was excellent. I had the Smoke Pork Belly sandwich (pictured) and my wife had their wings. They also have a great outdoor seating area with TVs and a stage for live music. BobaQue has the NFL package for all your football needs!

I finally decided to make the drive and try this restaurant out. I looked up their hours and headed out only to get there and they not be open. The owner was there & came out and told us we he was closed until later and I should never go by Google hours of operation listed, but instead I should have checked his Facebook page. Sir! I don’t go to Facebook to look up restaurant locations and hours. That’s what Google is for. Also, as a business owner myself, you are the one who provides Google your business hours when establishing a profile. He then went into a long rant about being a black man in a non black area and everybody trying to make him look bad. It was weird! He was weird! Then after all the weirdness he said loudly for us to come back and try them. Naw I’m good! I drove a few miles to another BBQ establishment who had accurate hours and me and my family enjoyed our meal. NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered of the 20-ounce ribeye I ordered medium. As you can see, it was significantly undercooked, closer to rare, with a good sear on the outside but a cool, red center. I only had a few bites in the restaurant, and those pieces were closer to medium.

My server did offer to have it cooked longer, which I appreciated, but I declined since I knew I’d finish cooking it at home. That said, it was still disappointing because it was nowhere near the medium temperature I requested. With cuts this thick, it may be challenging to consistently hit the desired doneness, so that’s something to keep in mind.

On a positive note, the flavor and seasoning were great. The service was also excellent, and I really enjoyed the baked beans and catfish fritters. Just a heads up, they charge for hot sauce(buffalo), so you may want to bring your own (crystal or Louisiana) if that’s your thing!

Finally got to try this place today, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing — we all ordered something different, and every dish was perfectly seasoned and incredibly juicy. You can really tell care goes into the cooking.
The atmosphere was just as great as the food. The staff was welcoming, and even the other customers were friendly. Honestly, it was one of the warmest, most genuinely friendly restaurant atmospheres I’ve ever experienced. We’ll definitely be back.
