Bob Evans in Bedford has made such an amazing turnaround since the shift in management. The improvement is very noticeable, and it shows in both the food quality and the customer service. Although they do occasionally have an issue with being understaffed, I understand how hard it is to find quality employees that actually WANT to work! You cant take that out on the restaurant, when they’re just trying to provide you with the best experience. Every time I visit (which is at least once a week), I’m greeted with friendly, welcoming service and genuine hospitality that keeps me coming back.
The food is consistently delicious and fresh. My personal favorites are the Wildfire Chicken Salad and the double stacked cheeseburger — and let me tell you, that burger has officially become a craving of mine. It’s seriously that good. You also can’t go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu. Bob Evans has always been known for breakfast, and this location definitely delivers.
It’s great to see a local restaurant thriving and putting care into both their food and their customers. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the Bedford area!

First off, for transparencies sake we came here around noon on a Sunday, and so the church crowd was there and they were busy. It was about a 7 minute wait, so nothing to complain about there. However, the hostess could not confidently convey nearly anything about the wait time. She was obviously stressed, though.
First, the good: Most of the food was excellent, but my wife’s scrambled eggs were visibly dry. The two sandwich platter I ate was delicious and the drinks (lemonade and an Arnold Palmer) were delicious as any.
The bad: The entire front wait staff were overwhelmed. They were discussing seating but were very much arguing about what to do in front of customers. One server, after we had been sat, talked to our waitress and said “When they leave we’ll put so & so on the wait list in their seat.” I see this as awfully impolite, and I felt rushed. There were lines within the restaurant just to leave which ebbed and waned throughout the time we ate.
The staff arguing in front of customers and yelling over tables gives this the 1 star atmosphere rating, the service was lacking but the food was mostly good. If you like Bob Evan’s, come here on a different day than Sunday or avoid the church crowd.

We are regular customers at this restaurant, however, on our last visit the service was terrible. We had to wait 38 minutes to receive our food, and the worst part is that the waitress didn’t bother to inform us why there was a delay, especially since other people who arrived after us received their food before we did. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. This is the last time we’ll be going to this restaurant. The waitress, Rose, was incredibly rude.

I normally don’t complain, however this time I was really looking forward to the steak tips meal. The carrots I personally would have thrown out. Is what I received lunch leftovers at 4:30 PM. Should I have waited a little while longer and possibly received fresher food? The steak was chewy and because I ordered no gravy on the potatoes they assumed I didn’t want or hardy needed any for the steak tips.

On August 17, 2025, my son and I went to Bob Evans for breakfast after church. The waitress was nice and brought us drinks then took our order. After 25 minutes of waiting I located our waitress and asked about our order and she said they were busy but she would get the manager. Ours wasn’t the only table waiting a long time. The table behind us said they waited 40 min and across from us said waiting 45 min. ( they left without paying) The manage showed up at our table and we asked about our order and he said the restaurant was busy and they were doing what they could. We didn’t get the meal for another 7 min. for a total of over 45 min. After being served, my son asked about the pancake on the plate. It looked like a child’s portion. The waitress apologized and said they were cutting down on portion sizes. This service and meal was not acceptable. The manager did nothing to compensate for the bad service and meal, which tells me it didn’t matter. As I said before, we were not the only disgruntled patrons. There were at least 3 that I know of. I usually go to Bob Evans for breakfast every Sunday, but the treatment I received was unacceptable.

Great place for breakfast in Bedford, Indiana. This location is easy to find right off of highway 37 north. The manager and all the staff were very friendly and professional. I do not think my coffee cup ever got below half and someone would come by and fill it up. The BLT was great as well as the biscuits and gravey. This restaurant is kept very clean.

Went for breakfast and ordered 2 steamed eggs (like poached) on sourdough toast with hash browns and a piece of sausage. Our server was great, but the manager was cooking and he needs to be taught how to cook. After 40 minutes mine and my friend’s breakfast came out, and I had 2 steamed eggs on biscuits, a blackened piece of sausage and no hash browns. I had to send it back. Our server took it back to the kitchen and then after 10 minutes came back with the right combo of food. My sourdough toast was barely toasted and was tough to cut and chewy, my sausage patty was blackened and very chewy and void of flavor; it was like eating a piece of black pudding one would get in the UK. The hash browns were too cooked as they were crunchy and hard. I don’t know why the manager was doing most of the cooking as there a cook there, and while they were steady/ busy, the place wasn’t packed or slammed. The two stars for service had to do with the kitchen as our server was great. The two stars for atmosphere was for appearance. Whomever picked that color of blue for the walls has no experience with color or basic decorating. The restaurant wasn’t very clean, went to sit near cashier area to wait on a table, and there were large floor mats sitting on both seats in waiting area which should’ve been put on the floor where they belong when they first opened, and your biscuit gravy is super salty; that’s literally all I could taste was salt, and I’m not a salt person. One final word, this is part of a chain, but in Indiana why use Heinz ketchup? You should be using Red Gold ketchup which is made in Madison County in Indiana!

I’ve had a good experiences so far.
The food was very good and the service was pretty decent also.
The coffee is some of the best around. I’d go for the coffee alone.
The menu is a full menu and they serve breakfast all the time. You can also buy whole pies to take home
It’s worth your trip.
Happy eating

The food was good, but we weren’t planning on spending an hour and four minutes at breakfast. I don’t know if it was the cook or the waitress but we won’t be back anytime soon.
