The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Whether it’s their classic breakfast plates, hearty dinners, or warm baked goods, every dish tastes like it was made with care. The portions are generous, the ingredients are always high quality, and everything arrives hot and well-prepared. Their breakfast options, especially the sausage, biscuits, and omelets, are always a highlight.
The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and comfortable, creating a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for family meals, quick stops, or weekend brunch. Service is fast, and I’ve never had an order mixed up or delayed.
Overall, Bob Evans deserves all five stars for their excellent service, great hospitality, and consistently delicious comfort food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, home-style dining experience.
My husband and I just moved here a few months ago from Jersey and we were looking to replace our favorite diner. We walked into Bob Evan’s not really expecting much, and we were blown away. Everyone was super nice, the place was clean and tidy, the service was quick and the food was hot and tasty! Now we’re here 2 or 3 times a week and we know everyone’s names!!! And yes I cook but we just love coming here. Thank you Miss Tyisha, Trace, Cam, Bella, and of course Miss Shirley for making our visits like home!
She genuinely cares about customers, takes ownership when something isn’t right, and makes sure the experience is handled with professionalism, kindness, and urgency. That level of leadership is rare, and it shows every time she’s on the floor.
Tyisha has been with Bob Evans for over 19 years, and that experience is evident in how smoothly that location runs and how valued customers feel. Managers like her are the backbone of a successful brand.
Bob Evans should be incredibly proud — and frankly, Tyisha deserves major recognition and a significant raise for the standard she sets every single day.
My family and I moved to the area two years ago and have frequented several other Bob Evans locations without ever having a negative experience. Because we now live close by, we decided to bring our family of six to the Blacklick location for Thanksgiving. We expected it to be busy due to the holiday, but the service was mediocre and the food was very disappointing. Assuming the issues were due to the holiday rush, we decided to give this location another chance at a later date.
Unfortunately, our experience tonight was even worse.
We were seated right away, and the server assigned to our area clearly saw us being seated. She walked past our table multiple times without stopping to greet us or introduce herself. She did not take our drink order or acknowledge us at all, despite only having two other small tables.
When she finally came over, I let her know we were ready to order both drinks and food. She took our order but did not ask my fiancé what type of bread he wanted with his meal; I had to prompt this myself. He ordered the honey chicken dinner, which he regularly orders at other locations, and I ordered the beef vegetable soup, which has always been a favorite of mine. We both ordered vanilla cappuccinos, and I also requested a water.
About five minutes later, she brought the cappuccinos but did not bring my water. The drinks were filled so full they were spilling down the sides, and she did not provide silverware for stirring. We had to flag down another employee to get spoons. My water was still never brought.
Approximately fifteen minutes later, our food arrived. My fiancé’s chicken was extremely overcooked, and the biscuits underneath were hard as rocks with no honey, which is normally included. His mashed potatoes were fine, but the corn tasted like unseasoned frozen corn with no butter or flavor. The rolls were cold, hard, and clearly not fresh.
My soup was equally disappointing. It was mostly broth with very few vegetables and only a couple of tiny pieces of beef. It appeared as though I received the bottom of the pan. On top of that, the soup was only lukewarm. I was especially disappointed because I had been excited to see this soup back on the menu and had looked forward to ordering it often since we live nearby.
The server never returned to check on us, never offered refills, never brought my water, and never asked how the food was. My fiancé was very hungry and ate what he could despite the food quality. I only had a few spoonfuls of my soup and could not continue eating it.
When we flagged the server down, she asked how everything was. I told her the food was horrible and disgusting. She simply apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I declined and said we were done. She did not offer to involve a manager or attempt to resolve the issue. She just asked if we wanted the check.
At the front, the hostess asked how everything was, and my fiancé responded that it was not good. There was no response or follow-up.
We paid over $35 for a meal that left us extremely dissatisfied. Unfortunately, we have decided not to return to this location. If we choose to dine at Bob Evans again, it will not be at the Blacklick location.
After reading other reviews, it appears these issues are ongoing and not isolated to our experience. It is disappointing that, despite repeated negative feedback, there has been no noticeable improvement.
We have come to this location for years and food stands up! Definitely.recommend the pot roast
