Went for lunch on recommendation from a friend, and regular. He’s even got his own sandwich, and that’s what I tried. Essentially the Caesar chicken wrap with chipotle sauce instead of dressing, on rye, panini pressed (ask for the “John”, not on the menu). Also grabbed an espresso. Total was about $15. Generous portion, very delicious. Could not recommend this spot enough.

I love the Boathouse Cafe in Passaic Park. The park is beautiful and the boathouse is cozy with great atmosphere. I love to take a walk in the park then stop in the Boathouse for refreshments. Hot chocolate, sodas, cookies, sandwiches, and other goodies on the menu. Winter, summer, fall, spring. Year round great stop to make. Love to watch the ducks on the pond. In the summer there are three large spouts on the pond. Further down the park from the boathouse is a great children’s playground with summer water spouts for the children to run through.

This is an eclectic place. It is for everyone from the young to the elderly. If you want to have a spot of tea or a hot cup of coffee or an cool refreshing drink. This is the place for you.
And for those who love to play games try Jenga or Uno while enjoying a hot crossiant or treat. Enjoy!

What an amazing place in a great location, stop in for lunch or dinner and be greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly smiles. The coffee is out of this world and the food is perfect. I highly recommend.

LOVE this place! it’s on a pond/little lake which is fun to walk around to get a little exercise. they have coffee/tea & sandwiches and quesadillas as well as ice cream. i also like the ship decor. it’s quite spacious inside and there is a little outdoor area when it’s nice out.
dog friendly.
i tried rollerskating around the park but the pathways are a little too bumpy for an amateur like me.

Visited Boathouse cafe in the city of Passaic with my cousin. It is located INSIDE a park & it was such a peaceful and enjoyable time. They serve coffee, pastries, lunch items, have outdoor seating overlooking the lake and people fishing. There is also a playground area for kids as well as benches throughout the park. There is even a skating rink in the park. You can take kids and have a chat with a friend while they play. It is great for all ages. I encourage you to check it out!

First time here and it was a wonderful experience. Had the turkey pesto panini and it was delicious. Also had an iced coffee which was really good. The two people working were very very nice. They have tons of options of things to order including ice cream, snacks, drinks, food, coffee and more.

What a difference between now and a dozen years ago. This building stood fallow and decaying and was basically an eyesore. Now in 2023 this building is a showcase for the park. The Boathouse Cafe is now a practically immaculate structure, and a source of pride. Their menu may be slightly limited, owing to the fact that they don’t have a full fledged kitchen facility, but that doesn’t deter everyone involved. They have a nice menu consisting of salads, paninis, quesadillas, hot dogs, snacks, ice cream and coffee. I had the veggie quesadilla, and it was quite substantial, a bit overcrisp on the outside, but still very delicious. The prices were quite reasonable, and the service was absolutely super. All told, this was one very enjoyable stop in a quiet place. I do have one light hearted caveat. Please allow extra time for your visit. The ambience and tranquility of this place could conceivably over relax you.

Very nice cafe. It was a good place to stop for something to eat as it’s right on the lake in the park. Very peaceful. Good kosher hotdogs available for purchase and the coffee was also nice.
