The food is super good I would definitely go rogue with it. Between the 2 of us we got 2 full size subs, 1 bag chips and 2 pops ran us about 50. But we’ve literally only been eating the subs all day its so much food. They are super good as well, I plan to go back again. The restaurant itself in my opinion could use some up dating. Please is clean presenting, tables havent been washed when we got there. But the place was atleast warm today its been freezing not exactly warm warm but you know michigan.

Truly a great, locally-owned fast casual option. I’ve been to two locations. Neither were much to look at, but let’s focus on the food! If you’re a first timer, just be aware, a WHOLE sub is a lot to eat. Be prepared to take some home. Otherwise, you can get half of one. I’d also recommend having your sub “rogue style.” They turn the bread inside out, season it up, and toast it to make it nice and crispy. Just heard a staff member say rogue style makes it up about 80% of their sales. Speaking of staff, the service at both locations I’ve been to has been wonderful. The workers are upbeat, friendly, and helpful. They’re happy to make a recommendation if you feel lost in the large menu. Would love to see a changing table in the bathroom! Otherwise great!

I stopped at Boardwalk Subs for lunch and ordered a custom turkey sub. The staff was friendly and attentive, even during the busy lunch rush. My sandwich was fresh, perfectly made, and cut into three pieces, which made it easy to eat. For $11 including tip, it was delicious, filling, and worth it.

One of the best sandwiches you’ll find in the city. Meat that isn’t sliced until it goes on your sandwich, fine chopped pickles and black olives, and the Herb De Provence Mayo all take your sammy to the next level. Rogue Style is awesome, but the bread is sooo tasty, feel free to get it untoasted too. They also have some delicious rotating soups that you can combo with your sub. Oh…and if you need a bucket….some locations let you buy them for a dollar! Don’t walk….run and get you some!

Came all the way from Pennsylvania to try the French Dip Sub with their famous seasoning! Best sub I ever had in my life. Puts Jersey Mike’s to shame. 1000/10 would recommend.

Great subs but terrible policy and customer service. We spent over $40 on dinner for two people.
We had just sat down in the dining area when my son mentioned that he forgot pickles on his sub.
I told him to ask for a side of them. He came back and told me that they are going to charge him $1.05 for a side of pickles. I went to the front counter and asked why he is getting charged $1.05 for a cup of pickles for a sub for which we had just paid?

The lady behind the counter in a condescending tone told me that was the policy and there is nothing to argue about.

I am not arguing with anyone just questioning why you cannot give me the pickles that my son forgot to order on his sub. We did not get pickles.

I hope your $1.05 policy is worth it.
The subs were great, but we will never go back.

Epic subs- seriously, among the best I’ve ever had.
Do the “go rogue” style- worth every penny!
My taste buds are singing and I wish I could come here every day.
Will definitely return every chance I get!

My wife ordered a meatball sub, even after microwaving the meat it was ice cold. They asked me about something I never heard of at the Byron Center store then made rude comments and looking like deer in the headlights. Then when asking what I want in my sandwich acted like they couldn’t hear me. I’m not sure if their names but the employees here certainly need an education in creating a welcoming atmosphere. I will continue to use the Byron Center location but I’ll never return here. I truly hope the company owners take note. We try to frequent this one other sub shops but I won’t attack for rudeness. The cleanliness of the small dining area needs attention as well. You’ll see the crumbs left on the table beside us even though staff was out to inspect the room.

Update… My wife has then remake her sub and they decided to heat it beyond ability to eat. When back to just return the whole order minus the drink we ordered. The two young men that were there wanted to argue and still be rude. Luckily their manager Allie came out and took care of things. Though the boys still wanted to be rude. Once Allie was finished apologizing the rude one of the two gave very snarky and insincere apologies. I hope they find better employees for this location. Allie was the one shining star and I would increase the rating of the boys would’ve just stopped talking while they were already behind.

Decided to stop here on the whim, pass it alot. Was surprised at how good it was. Got the roast beef (number 26 maybe? ‍♀️) with the au ju dip. Got basic stuff on it, lettuce and banana peppers, was absolutely blown away with how good it was.

Can’t wait to come back and try their other menu items.
