Boardwalk fish and chips was recommended to us by a local so we gave it a try. We had a very pleasant experience. The food was good. It was my first time having halibut and I definitely will be ordering it again. Very delicious piece of fish. Not sure what kind of dressing was on the salad, but boy was it good. My wife enjoyed her meal as well, so a great evening out with a delicious meal and wonderful views out the window. If you are ever in Homer, Alaska, be sure to visit Boardwalk fish and chips on Homer spit you will be glad you did.

We went to eat here as we saw long lines so we thought the food would be amazing. I ordered clam chowder and I guess it could be called clam chowder because there was one tiny clam. The rest of our was potatoes and celery. The oyster crackers I dumped in it were the best part. It was just really watery. (The day before we ate at a different restaurant and the clam chowder was full of clams for the same price.) My husband ordered the halibut fish on a stick and loved it. I had a couple of bites and I agree, it was delicious. We both ordered coleslaw. It is bagged coleslaw with a little dressing. Again, a disappointment since the restaurant we went to the day before had fantastic homemade coleslaw. There is a nice outdoor seating area and plenty of seating inside. If you order the fish and nothing else, you will be fine eating here.

The food was really good. Got right in and sat down. Ordered food and out within 10 minutes. Large amount of food! We all got halibut fish and chips. It was really good! We enjoyed it. The dill dip with the fish was good as well.

Very expensive food for what you get. I paid $27 for two fried pieces of halibut and fries. The wife paid $24 for fried cod and fries. Food was decent but nothing to write home about. I’d eat there again but wouldn’t go out of my way. My son and daughter shared a chicken strip basket. For one order of fried halibut, one of fried cod and a chicken strip basket and three drinks it was over$90….. Way too much for what you get imo. Your mileage may vary.

TASTIEST HALIBUT! Get the halibut fish and chips. Their chips are amazing. Order an extra side. The tartar sauce is homemade and tastes 5,000x better than any tartar sauce I’ve had.
They have a small menu but they specialize and have perfected it.
DISCLAIMER: It’s pricier – about $50 for 2 beers and one order of the halibut fish and chips. You’re in a tourist destination and it’s ALASKA for god’s sake. They get maybe 5 months of business during the season and then tourism drops off. Please don’t knock off stars for places who are trying to pay their rent and don’t listen to the spots who claim “it’s too expensive”. It’s literally just what it is.

If you ever have an appetite for those delicious fried seafood meals, this is your place. Had the fried clams basket and it was outstanding. The clam chowder might be the best I’ve ever had. Love this place.

Got halibut & chips to go. Fish was amazing. Very fresh, served on a skewer. Chips were waffle cut fries, which I normally don’t like, but they had a coating with a great flavor. Very little wait even though they were really busy.

Great food, great location. We sat at a table overlooking the beach but we’re inside and out of the wind. We tried both the cod and halibut fish and chips and enjoyed both.
