Near ASU, a college town eatery. Came in for lunch, visiting from out of town. Tasty sandwiches served on a toasted soft roll. Potato salad in individual serving, good taste. Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere good vibes. An inside outside bar seating area. Give it a try.

Board & Brew – Tempe is definitely a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly and welcoming service. The atmosphere is fun, casual, and perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or hanging out to watch a game. The place is clean, vibrant, and has a great energy overall.
Now onto the food—absolutely delicious! The sandwich I ordered was fresh, flavorful, and loaded with quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. Their signature sauce added the perfect touch, and the portion size was very generous. It’s clear why they have so many 5-star reviews!
One small thing to note—the crust on the sandwich bread was a little too chewy for my liking, but that’s just a personal preference and didn’t take away from how good the rest of the sandwich was. Everything else was spot on!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing sandwiches, a good vibe, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be back soon to try more from their menu!

I had an amazing experience at Board & Brew in Tempe! I ordered the Turkey Club sandwich on sourdough, and let me just say it was hands down the best sandwich I’ve ever had on sourdough bread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bread was toasted just right, and the turkey was tender and packed with flavor.
The potato salad? Out of this world. Creamy, well-seasoned, and probably the best I’ve ever had. I’m usually picky with sides, but this one was unforgettable.
The service was top-notch from the moment I walked in. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations. You could tell they enjoy what they do and care about giving customers a great experience. The entire space was clean, well-organized, and had a really laid-back but energetic vibe; perfect for grabbing lunch, studying, or just hanging out.
Just a great group of people serving high-quality food with heart. I came in hungry and left super satisfied. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Tempe. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out you won’t regret it!

First time here today for lunch. Shared the French dip with fresh, homemade horseradish sauce. It was so delicious! Place is clean with cool decor. Friendly service. Excited to return and try something else. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable for the portion.

We received friendly fast service and great recommendations on what to order from the staff. We were all blown away by their delicious and fresh sandwiches with a California flare. Highly recommend the turkeycado and the Baja chicken (add avocado). They also offer a great selection of beers and cider on tap.

Chicken club is awesome, bread is always fresh and filling is tasty, it’s my go-to sandwich spot!

Giant sandwiches that are reasonably priced and super tasty. I ordered the beef dip combo with potato salad. The meat was a little dry, but they provide enough’s au jus sauce to really moisten it up. Definitely will head back there again. Right next to ASU so during lunchtime, it gets pretty busy and parking is kind of a pain but well worth it, if you can get a spot.

Mixed experiences, but mostly good
We’ve visited many times over the years. The beer selection is unique and above average choices, sandwiches are Very tasty with fresh toppings, and staff are usually friendly. The wrap is a standout option—especially with their signature sauce, which reminds me of a mild, creamy French dressing. Delicious.
That said, we had a couple of disappointing visits that made us stop going for couple years. One staff member (dark hair guy, possibly Hispanic) repeatedly ignored my request for no cheese—once is a mistake, but twice in a row, after clearly stating it again at same visit, felt careless and disrespectful. No apology, no correction, just blame. It soured the experience enough that we took a long break from coming back. I hope that staff issue has been resolved.
Also training your staff how to properly clean the tables would go a long way, and show customers you understand the gravity of cleanliness and health of customers.
CALIFORNIA DELIGHT is ok but next time I wouldn’t get the cream cheese, it was too much for me. I love the Turkey Deluxe in a spinach wrap (the sunflower seeds added is a fun tasty twist) and the baja chicken on french is also very good and Chicken Club is a solid option. Spouse loves all those and also gets the pastrami. Get the sauce!
Don’t like the chips.
PS parking sucks, not enough and tight spaces, we avoid with games and any events.
