We grabbed seats at the bar, which had a great late night energy without feeling chaotic. Bartenders were dialed in, drinks came out quick, and the vibe felt upscale but still relaxed.
Ordered the meatball and it was very good. Rich tomato sauce, plenty of parmesan, and served with perfectly toasted bread to scoop up every bit of it. Simple dish done right.
The martini hit the mark too, cold, clean, and well balanced. The olives with caviar were a nice touch and felt very BOA.
Perfect spot for a post show drink or a late evening bite in Austin.
Now I’m very particular with my food…I’m a self proclaimed top chef so I always think I can make this at home…well I didn’t feel that way here. It’s rare to get food so delicious you want to marry the check sight unseen lol.
Anyways, amazing experience. Worth every penny. I cannot wait to return.
I ordered the following:
Burrata and heirloom tomatoes: 3/5 Tomatoes were good, the burrata was just okay and didn’t have much flavor.
15 Day Dry Aged Bone-In: 1/5 The meat quality was fantastic, but unfortunately, that was the only highlight of the steak. I ordered it medium-rare, and the steak came out medium-well. The server came by, saw the temp, and asked if it was okay. I asked for it to be redone as it was overcooked. When the second steak arrived, it was rare. My partner and I were hungry and really didn’t want to sit around to have the steak redone for a third time, so we just gave up and ate it. Given this steakhouse’s reputation and pricing, I expected the steak to be perfectly cooked to the right temperature. Interestingly, they couldn’t cook it to medium-rare. The steak also didn’t have much flavor. There’s so much potential here, since I really loved the actual quality of the meat.
Lobster Fra Diavolo: 2/5 Just okay. Tasted like regular spaghetti and was pretty sweet.
Corn Creme Brulee: 4/5 This was the best out of all the other dishes. Very sweet and creamy!
Paper Crane: 3/5 Tasty, but didn’t love that it was super sweet.
Overall, the service was good and I loved the interior. However, it’s concerning that they couldn’t cook a medium-rare steak. I was also given a streaky plate with oily wipe marks on it which didn’t make me feel great about the cleanliness of the restaurant. Another thing to note is that some of the prices on my menu were different from the prices on my partner’s menu.
A huge shoutout to our waiter, Shaneen, who truly made the experience exceptional. She was attentive, professional, and so personable—checking in at all the right times and making us feel genuinely taken care of from start to finish.
Between the amazing food, outstanding service, and beautiful ambiance, this was an unforgettable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!
serving for longer because of how great he was! We only knew it was his first day because he told us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to even suggest a dish to our friend who was indecisive. He also did a great job at making my other friend feel very special on her birthday! I would definitely come again. I have only wonderful things to say.
We tried the burrata heirloom tomato salad and goat cheese baklava. For mains, we tried the dry aged ribeye and the Westholme Australian wagyu with creamy horseradish and peppercorn. The appetizers were flavorful and served quickly. The steaks were perfectly seared on the outside, tender, and juicy on the inside.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Thank you for the halal options.
