Reviews
From the moment we walked in, the hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our server was absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely warm, even though the restaurant was completely packed. The ambience was beautiful and energetic, and it was honestly wonderful to see the place so full.
I’ve seen a few reviews mention long wait times, but for how busy it was, our experience felt perfectly paced. We enjoyed appetizers, entrées, and dessert over about two hours, and everything came out smoothly. We never felt rushed or forgotten.
We started with appetizers and ordered the Caviar Flight, Crab Cakes, and Duck Wings. The duck wings were extraordinary. Crispy, deeply flavorful, and unforgettable. The crab cakes were large enough to share and absolutely delicious. The roasted corn and champagne rémoulade paired perfectly, with just a little bit of heat that made the dish even better. And the caviar was exactly what you hope for. Fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented.
For our entrées, one of us ordered the Sterling Silver Filet, Oscar style, and it was perfection. Cooked beautifully, rich without being heavy, and paired perfectly with the potatoes. I also ordered the Truffle Cream of Corn, and I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Truly outstanding.
We also had the Fettuccine al Mare e Fuego, made with squid ink pasta, lobster, chorizo, smoked tomato, and crispy fennel. It was incredible. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it was so good that not a single bite was left behind.
Dessert somehow managed to top everything that came before it. We shared the Ten Layer S’mores and the Cocoa Cloud Tree, and they were hands down some of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Creative, fun, and absolutely delicious, with presentation that made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, this is one of the most impressive dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The menu is unique and thoughtfully curated, the service is warm and accommodating, and the food feels like something you’d expect to find in a major city. Every single person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the experience special.
BluPoint is a true gem for Fort Smith/Chaffee, and we will absolutely be back.
P.S. Check out the bathroom! It’s pretty incredible!
The restaurant opened Feb 2025 and waited for the newness to subside. Like with any new restaurant in the Fort, jam packed for a while.
It is fine dining, but fine dining in the Fort does not necessarily mean dress to impress for everyone.
The restaurant is set up nicely and there is a private room for a large dinner party. Nicely decorated and good ambiance. I sat at the bar and had my meal and drinks.
From the pics you can see, I had a few starters and a few dishes to try. No, I did not eat all of them.
Priced like a high-end restaurant and service from the bar matched what you expect from a high-end restaurant.
Nit open on Mondays, like most if not all the fine dining in the Fort. Bummer.
The food was fantastic, the drinks were great, service to match.
If your pocket book can handle the expense, give them a try. Going out to impress, give them a try.
East Coast Oysters
Oysters should be briny, fresh, and clean — not dry, not dull, and definitely not tasting like they’ve been sitting around. What I got leaned more toward “old oyster” than anything resembling the crisp, ocean flavor they’re known for. A disappointing start.
Smoked Duck with Aperol Raspberry Glaze
This dish should’ve been a balance of smoky, rich duck with sweet and tart elements. Instead, the duck came out noticeably salty and chewy, which completely threw off the intended flavor profile. When the supporting ingredients are delicate — sweet potato purée, sour cherry gel, walnuts — the protein shouldn’t overpower everything with salt.
Seafood Risotto
A seafood risotto should feel generous, especially at this price point. Instead, the dish arrived with barely two pieces of each seafood — shrimp, mussels, clams, scallops — making it feel more like a rice dish that happened to pass by the ocean. For what they charge, I expected a lot more substance and balance.

Overall
The menu reads like fine dining, but the plates don’t deliver the freshness, technique, or portion quality that justify the cost. When you walk out feeling like you paid top-tier prices for mid-tier execution, it’s hard not to be disappointed.
I wanted to enjoy this meal — the concepts are great — but the flavors, textures, and portions just didn’t match the promise or the price.
