Small, but super fun with amazing food and great service. I had the chicken fried rice and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. I also a the slider. It was quite good. My friend’s ordered a ton of sushi and they enjoyed it. The blackened tuna app was great. You cant go wrong here.

I’m sad that I have to leave this type of review as I am not a negative person. Last night, I ordered deliver through UberEats. My rolls were cold (and overpriced) but no worries. I heated them up in the air fryer and was good to go. My issue was the ridiculous spicy seafood miso soup and customer service. You can see from the photo that for $9 you get like 6 ounces of water with a spit of alleged seafood bits. I took the soup back up there today for a refund. The blonde hostess instead walks around asking the kitchen staff if that was the portion size, meanwhile she put a spoon in it and is basically playing with the soup. She then confirms that is their normal portion of soup. She then gives it back to me…as if I was supposed to take it back home with me. I asked if I was going to get a refund and she says I have to get it through UE. I asked her why she gave me the soup back instead of just replacing it and she responded as if she confused that all I wanted was a replacement. I gently reminded her that she just put a random spoon in it. I couldn’t believe how ridiculous of a thought process this was and just walked out. Now I have no refund or soup. I used to love this place but never again.

I had a wonderful experience at Blufin starting with the waitress MaKayla. Makayla has probably been one of if not the best waitress I’ve encountered in a long time. She was very attentive and pleasant; nothing seemed forced about her interaction, it wasn’t robotic she genuinely showed up as herself. The food was amazing, the presentation was amazing and the ambiance of the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing.

My boyfriend and I visit Blufin once every couple of months and enjoying sitting at the bar. We normally order 4-5 rolls and a couple of drinks. Our experience is usually fine, however last night, we met Chris & he was the way you’d expect a bartender to be. Friendly, engaging, Took care in making our drinks & asked us if we liked them & made small talk. We loved the new seasonal cocktails, however wish the prices weren’t so high. We noticed some new additions at the bar.. Don’t love the mini lamps since they block views & draw your eye to that light.

I dine in, take out, and get deliveries from Blufin often and my experience is always great — from the staff, to food, to the atmosphere there are no complaints! Carly (the blond behind the bar, waiting tables, and sometimes at the host stand) is my absolute favorite!! Her customer service is amazing, she is so knowledgeable, so friendly, and always on top of her tables/the bar! If you see her say hi!!!

My daughter and I had a beautiful night. Our bartender, Chris recommended the chicken fried lobster and spiced edamame. Delicious, and Chris also suggested a particular cocktail is was refreshing and tasted so good. I heard about BluFin from a close friend of mine and the feedback was overwhelming positive. After hearing how my friends’ service went with the establishment I decided to go there today for lunch. I arrived at around 3:05 pm and upon entering I was greeted within a 15 second timeframe from the host, handed the main menu and sushi menu and was given the option to pick where I wanted to sit (Outside/Patio, inside with two areas, one of which is directly in front of the sushi bar and kitchen and the other on the opposite side of the restaurant). I decided to go with inside by the sushi bar and kitchen. After being sat I was greeted by my server within 2 minutes and was met with positive energy which I loved and was poured a glass of water. After another few minutes of looking over the menu my server returned and I placed my order.
Since this was my first outing here I went with four items: Popcorn Shrimp, BluFin Roll, Blue Devil Roll, and the Mongolian Beef special. Everything I had was fantastic, I made sure every plate was clean before the dish got back to the tank. The popcorn shrimp was fried just right and the sauce, omg the sauce was FIRE! The rice rounded out the dish as a palate cleanser and all components worked together perfectly. The BluFin and Blue Devil Rolls were some of the best pieces of sushi I’ve had in Michigan, no exaggeration. Everything was fresh and each piece made you want to keep eating more. Lastly the Mongolian Beef special was the icing on top of an already fantastic experience. The beef was flavorful and tender, the sauce accompanied with the beef was delicious and the scallions and fried onions (I believe it was fried onions) garnished on top gave me everything I was looking for.
As someone who works in the industry (restaurant) I always love going to places where the staff takes pride in the food and service they display. BluFin will definitely be a spot I return to and suggest from word of mouth and social media.

They used to be a local favorite… Not anymore.
Apparently they are transitioning to a hibachi restaurant! Gone are most of the amazing sushi rolls that kept us coming back year after year. Sadly, the few sushi offerings remaining are not worth ordering.
Thankfully the staff is holding on, losing their best selling dishes can’t be fun.
We asked the server and the manager to pass along our dismay to the owner and they assured us that they would do so.
Our dinner out made me sad.

I never left a review before in my life but! lol way over priced ! The hot water tank was broken so we couldn’t have hot tea and when we ordered a Japanese soda it was a kids drink you can buy for one dollar. Also I told them I was allergic to fish and they still gave me my sushi with fish eggs on it! I’ll never come back there’s so many other sushi restaurants. Thanks for nothing bluefin you suck!
