All told, we liked it. It wasn’t very busy when we went in. It’s nestled in this little two city block square of shops and restaurants. We had immediate seating. The food was very good. Our only negative was the inattentive waitress. We seldom saw her and I ended up having to go to the front counter to speak to another waitress to get our bill. But outside of that, my wife and I enjoyed the experience.

Food was very good and they have decent prices. My son got the steamed platter with oysters, crab legs and shrimp. It was a huge portion and only 28 dollars. I got the choose 3 blackened seafood platter with flounder, scallops and shrimp with 2 sides. My other son got the lower country boil and my wife got the choose 3 fried platter. All of the food was well seasoned and amazing. We also had gator bites as an appetizer. There is inside and outside seating, we chose to sit outside on a beautiful day. Service was great as well. We will be returning.

1st time here , we was on vacation & wanted 2 Try some seafood , The lady @ The front desk where we were staying recommended this place . So here we r . The food was excellent , The margarita is very good However, the service SUCKED r Waitress ( Danielle D ) Was not friendly , Nor very helpful . She had NO patience @ all !! We was trying 2 Ask her about items on the menu & She got frustrated & Couldn’t answer all of the questions . Then when it came time 2 Pay the bill , There was an extra charge on the bill so I questioned her about it & She got very frustrated & Left the table & Went and got her manager & Then she couldn’t even come back 2 Collect the money she had him do it . Which I think was very, very rude of her & Very Ignorant . If he would’ve been a good manager, he would’ve told her , u Go apologize & u Collect the money . That pissed me off !!!! I Wouldn’t recommend her being a waitress very much longer she better find a different job or learn how to treat the customers better !!!!

This is a great family dining experience in unpretentious surroundings, and some of the freshest seafood you’ll find.
You see, the Toomer Family owns this establishment, as they have the oldest continually running, family owned oystering operation in the area.
Owning your own fleet of working boats has its advantages: unexpected fresh fish catches, live crabs, ocean fresh shrimp and more. As fresh as fresh can be!
With ocean-fresh products, there’s no need for cooking or serving pretense. And there is none. Tin buckets to place your spent shells in: paper towel rolls to wipe your chins and hands, and honest, straightforward cooking to put your attention where it belongs: impeccable fresh fruits of the Sea.

When you walk in you choose your own table that’s available. There service was great and the food was good. I hoped the half dozen oysters on the half shell would be briny, unfortunately they were more on the water taste side from being iced. The She Crab soup was delicious, and my daughter said the snow crab legs were some of the best she’s had in a long time. I had a shrimp basket with french fries. All were cooked to perfection. The oysters were the only thing holding them to a 4 star rating on the food. The oysters and crab legs are listed as market price. Please give them a try.

Disappointing meal experience at this seafood house. Hoping for a local seafood restaurant in Bluffton but fell way short of the mark. Marketing implies it’s local seafood but I question that. Flavors were bland. Food quality was mediocre and food didn’t appear fresh. Limited bar selection. Service was ok but employees are not happy. Sadly I would pass on this restaurant for future meals.

This was great! The food was classic southern seafood! The fried shrimp were not overly breaded—some of the best fried shrimp I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever! Extensive side dish menu!! Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals. Would definitely recommend.

Just stopped for a light lunch but wanted to check it out since they have fresh seafood. I only had the House Salad my husband had the House Salad with Shrimp Salad. Food was good. We ate early before 1, so it wasn’t very busy. Restaurant was clean and waitress was pleasant. Seemed to be plenty of parking.

Honestly. The food is excellent. I had the fried shrimp and my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both were five star. Our waitperson was quite friendly but my God was she in a hurry to close the place down. Grabbed a plate I was using and then grabbed my basket as she was walking by and I was still trying to finish up the last bit. My wife had to guard her shrimp and grits and she had a spoon in her hand EATING, and the waitperson asked if she was finished or wanted a box. It was like a drive by! Food came fast and it went fast.
Slow down the pace! Please. Don’t make a show of trying to get everyone to eat fast and get out. The food is too damn good for that kind of service. Engage with your customers instead of rushing us out. Did I mention the food was excellent?
