Man what a lucky find!!! I wanted to grab breakfast before a visit to see my granddaughter in Ferris and so I found this great little spot on the Google.
I walked in and didn’t really expect too much since there was a lot of space and not too many people in there.
WRONG!! WRONG WRONG BOY WAS I WRONG!!
First off Alyssa our server was super sweet and helpful with our questions. She was patient and extremely attentive throughout our visit. So service was an A+! When we got our food, it was GREAT!! Large portions of delicious homestyle breakfast. There were big fat pancakes with a delicious hint of vanilla and maybe cinnamon. Great bacon too! I got an omelet that was huge and soooooo good with spinach, mushrooms, bacon and smoked sausage. I couldn’t finish it all since it also came with a pancake and hash browns.
A couple of few extras worth mentioning were that we were offered FREE mimosas!! They were really good free mimosas too.
They have a bingo night once a week and are having a big fancy country style Valentines Party in February.
I’m going to be a regular here now amd next time, I’m saving room for pie!

Bluebonnet City Grill serves very good, well‑prepared food backed by truly excellent service. The staff is warm, attentive, and makes the experience feel effortless. The only drawback is the atmosphere, which comes across a bit cold and could use more warmth to match the quality of everything else.
Still, it’s an easy place to recommend for a reliably good meal in Ennis.

Food was nasty. I had salmon Mac cheese and greens. The fish was OK but wasn’t done. The Mac and cheese was box and watery with no taste. Greens were not only canned but so nasty I almost pucked just trying them. Husbands fish and shrimp had no taste. Coleslaw was good. Waitress was nice and service was OK but the food so bad I started feeling icky before I even left. My husband’s stomach started flipping when he got home. I had pick up from here a long time ago and it was good but tonight it was so bad that it wasn’t even eatable. That’s saying something because i eat everything.

My husband and I stopped when traveling. We chose according to views. GREAT place. The price of food for the amount you get is more than fair. The taste was great. Even the customers were welcoming. Will stop again next time we travel.

My wife and I happened to be in Ennis and decided to stop in to give this place a try. The hostess and our server were very attentive to our needs and were just so polite. We ordered the pick 3 app platter (fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and wisconsin cheese curds), monster potato, and a rueban sandwich with a side of fries. Guys, this is some real home cooked vibe delicious food, and honestly, not even expensive as it seems to be. Absolutely amazing all around.

While I love to give a 5 star. This place is beautiful, clean, and the service staff was excellent. The cake display at the entrance is gorgeous.
The food .. let’s talk about it. The omelet I had was fresh. Taste was great. Hash browns were very overcooked and more crunchy than moist. The biscuit, didn’t cut the chalk for me. Clearly microwave reheated. I sent the first one back to get a second one that was somewhat better but the bottom was tough and almost rubbery.. all signs of microwave reheating.
Sausage patties, same as the biscuit.
My husband has a pancake and it was excellent. He didn’t even use syrup. While this was our first time, I feel like as long a it takes to prepare our food, there was no need for the use of a microwave. Use the grill to reheat the sausage and biscuits. Jmo.
Give them a try. It was still good food. ❤️
