Loved the food and atmosphere…amazing cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and explaining their mixture and most popular drinks. Uff the dishes were simply amazing. This was our first time and enjoyed every single bite. Wish the service was little faster, seemed like the server was overwhelmed with the tables. Definitely worth coming back to try out the other dishes!

Fantastic food, beautiful restaurant and thoughtfully designed. Very unique to have such an expansive back patio, separate cocktail bar and main dining room. Service is fantastic, the team clearly cares about providing a certain level of hospitality. Happy hour menu ($8 dishes) is perfect if you want to keep to a budget. Hope you try it out and feel the same way.

Met a friend for dinner here last night and had a fantastic meal. Started with a cocktail at the bar which is well stocked and my ‘Old Fashioned’ was perfectly made. We had the Duck Salad, the Thai Chicken, Veggie Rice and Beef Dumplings. We enjoyed every dish but the Duck Salad was my favorite dish of the night. The main dining room was active but quiet enough to have easy conversations. If you’re looking for a healthy, artfully-plated, upscale Chinese restaurant, this is your place.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The signature duck salad lives up to its reputation—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The standout for me was the roasted sea bass, slow-cooked to an excellent texture and full of depth. I later learned the chef previously worked at Hakkasan, which shows in the execution.
My friend especially enjoyed the truffle dumplings, which had delicate wrappers and a rich truffle aroma. The wasabi prawns added a sharp, satisfying kick. For drinks, we tried the zen kooler, whale’s tale, high noon—both well-presented and solid in taste, with an Instagram-worthy appeal.
Considering the overall quality of the food and the atmosphere, the final bill was a pleasant surprise. A 10/10 experience—I’ll definitely return when I’m back in the area.

July 27 2025 second visit— second visit just as amazing as our first. The braised rib was unreal. Had to get the pumpkins and the truffle dumps again. Duck salad is some kind of magic I have no idea how it tastes so good. Mushroom noodles i would pass on next time, they are very lightly seasoned, I prefer more intense flavors. Lovely server as well who was also acting host. We all said we have no idea why this place isn’t jam packed on a Sunday at lunch but it should be!!!! Super nice patio also. So good.
First visit: Such a fantastic experience at Blue Whale for dinner tonight. Arrived early and grabbed a cocktail in the bar: cocktail menu is diverse with exciting flavors and ingredients and my selection was absolutely beautiful (and delicious). Seated in elegant dining room I noticed similar attention to detail in design from Empress by Boon— brushed brass and blue velvet with thoughtful lighting. A beautiful space. Our server Ashley was truly outstanding— recommendations for wine pairings, portions and coursing were all spot-on. She really made it a memorable experience for us. Food was amazing we ordered the duck salad, truffle XLB (wow!), pumpkin puffs, sea bass and duck noodles. Every dish was not only favourful and exciting but also beautifully plated and fun. Cannot wait to come back— so refreshing to have a fine dining experience with friendly staff, great portions and good cocktails!!

I made a reservation for two, but upon arrival, we were seated in a location that felt uncomfortably positioned in the midst of heavy foot traffic, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Unfortunately, our server appeared noticeably curt and disengaged, giving the impression that our presence was more of an inconvenience than a welcome. The food itself was passable, but given the elevated price point and the underwhelming service, it’s unlikely I’ll be returning in the future.

The place has a clean and elegant appearance that makes you feel welcome the moment you step in. The food isn’t just delicious, but it’s also presented beautifully on the plate. There’s a charming backyard area with green plants, adding to a more relaxing dining experience. They also have a cozy bar with a really friendly bartender. Overall, the atmosphere, the quality of the food, and the service at the restaurant all leave a lasting impression. I’m definitely going to visit again, looking forward to another great experience there. And the best part? There’s a large parking garage right next to the restaurant, so no worries about finding a spot.

We shared tiger prawns, I had shrimp dumplings, hubby had pork and truffle soup dumplings. He can’t stop talking about them. Great cocktails, cute bunny shaped panna cotta for dessert. We can’t wait to go back!
