Great place. Took a while to be seated even though they were not busy. However, I understandably places are understaffed. Our server was very kind. The food and drinks were amazing. It was a windy cool evening so I got a yummy warm spiked drink (I don’t remember the name of it). The clan chowder was amazing and so was the fish and chips.

I had the fish tacos and my cousin had fish in chips. She thought here fish was too breaded and didn’t enjoy them. I really liked the fish tacos and the drinks were also good. I would eat here again. There is a fish tank with glass fish which is so much better than having real fish stuck in a tank. Kudos to them!

Did not know what to expect d/t the restaurants rating on here, BUT, the food we ordered was absolutely amazing! Fresh made pork lumpia, blackened cod tacos & 2 piece fish & chips. We expected the prices. Staff was friendly & helpful. The view is great. They have a pet friendly patio.

Let’s start with the positives. The location is undeniably stunning. The restaurant allows guests to bask in the picturesque seascape while they dine. The staff were courteous and attentive, providing prompt service throughout the meal.

The food was mediocre for the price. The steak was cooked well and the fish was tasty, but the other parts of the dishes were lacking. The tartar sauce was like 90% mayo, and the salad dressing was not very flavorful. The lemonade was weak. The fries were okay but not for the price. The whole meal was an exercise in overpriced mediocrity.

Cute little place with an unexpected view (doesn’t look like it had one from the street, but it does). Good fish and EXCELLENT chips (fries)… I only like fries if they’re perfect and these were!! Crispy outside and perfectly done inside with just the right amount of salt and yummy tartar. The San Juan pale ale was delicious as well.

If you crave overpriced mediocre food with a view, this place is for you. Clam chowder was very salty with large chunks of potato and a bowl only had maybe two or three clams. Also had the 1/2 pound steamers, was the worst I’ve ever had. Broth should be butter, white wine and shallots, but this one was water with diced tomatoes and slivered onions. I’ll have to remember not to come here next time I’m in Friday Harbor.

Don’t expect fast service, but the servers have been great. The view is great and easy to grab a meal before getting on the ferry. They are more expensive than the neighboring restaurants, but offer a 10% discount to first responders. I had the bison burger and had to go back so my son could try it during his visit! My wife had the fish tacos and coconut shrimp, but said they were just okay. She wouldn’t order them again.

There should be a sign in front of the restaurant the reads “DOG FRIENDLY”. This place would’ve received 5 stars if it weren’t for the dogs!! My son and I wanted to dine outside to enjoy the view but unfortunately we couldn’t because he has a fear of dogs and there were 2 outside. I became grossed out when I saw dander and hair in the air from the big dog after it was shaking vigorously. The food is delicious, the service was fast and good, the atmosphere was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The restaurant is across the street from the ferry station and whale touring boats. If you don’t mind dining with someone else’s pets then this is a great place to visit!

Always open late. One of the best staff on island for sure. It can be pricey but the food has really come a long way. The view is the best. The building itself is a historical gem. They also offer outdoor seating for pups to join you.
