Reviews
First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. Seems minimal at first, but the wall art is lovely and the lights in the window help set the atmosphere. Very clean and easy to navigate around the dining area too, lots of room to move!
The service was amazing too! The server was very friendly and prompt, and was kind enough to give us a free order of kheer to help celebrate our anniversary! Truly made me smile.
The food itself was INCREDIBLE. We split an appetizer portion of the tandoori paneer masala, and that was probably my favorite dish. The regular naan is light and airy with a nice smokiness. And the regular paneer masala was filled with so much flavor in a reasonable and good portion size. And of course the mango lassi was so sweet and cooling. This time I asked for a mild spice level for my entree to gauge their level of heat, and honestly next time I’m going to bump it up to medium.
I absolutely enjoyed my experience here and I can’t wait to come back! 🙂
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the service is smooth from start to finish. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, it’s a consistently great experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great Indian food
First visit to Blue Taj and it is an absolute gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and very fresh. I highly recommend the chicken Korma or Chicken Vindaloo —tender and perfectly spiced. The lamb rogan josh was tender and full of depth, and the garlic & bullet naan was spot on. Every bite felt like comfort food elevated to a fine dining level.
The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and never rushed. You can tell the staff really care about the experience they’re creating.
Whether you’re new to Indian cuisine or a longtime fan, Blue Taj is a place you’ll keep coming back to. Don’t miss it!
What made me want to write a review, though, is that a gentleman came by looking for food while we were there. The owner didn’t hesitate, letting him know he had some chicken and rice he could have. It was clear he knew him, and has given him a meal before.
Those are the sorts of things that make me want to write good reviews and support a business.
The food was great! Chat papdi, tandoori paneer , mixed grill and malai chicken all amazing! We will definitely be returning soon.
I had the Lamb Rogan Josh and chose mild spice. I wished I had chosen medium. Quantity was ample. My friend had a vegetarian dish he said was quite good.
The atmosphere is plain, a bit more so than I like but much less than the royal dining room some Indian restaurants display.
It’s central Ambler so parking is awful.
