We had an amazing experience at Blue Ribbon. Everything we tried was outstanding, from the fresh, beautifully prepared sushi to the rich and indulgent wagyu bone marrow rice was truly unforgettable. The steak was also incredible: perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor.
Every dish felt thoughtful and expertly made, and you can really tell how much care goes into the food. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on flavor and quality across the menu, Blue Ribbon is it. We can’t wait to come back!
The food overall was good and the portions were very big. We were given the specials that had two main courses, we ordered one of them- half a lobster but after waiting for our order around 10-20 minutes we were told they didn’t have lobster so we had to choose another item.
Food:
Spicy tuna crispy rice was amazing. A correct crisp level on the rice and perfect balance of spice and tuna.
Bone marrow is gonna have a bad review from me cause it had a big nerve part inside that was very much not fun to eat.
The steak- I don’t remember which one we ordered but we ordered Medium cooked and this was close to rare. I don’t mind so didn’t send back, but my partner couldn’t eat.
As sides the fries cooked in wagyu beef fat and edamame were both good.
I had Blue Ribbon on my list to check out for a couple months and was finally able to check it out the other night before another show. I immediately was impressed by how big, spacious and open the restaurant is. No tables cramped next to each other here.
The service was superb and I had everything I needed as far as recommendations, suggestions, and got my questions answered as I ended up enjoying my meal solo after a friend got sick and cancelled at the last minute. Ended ordering the special margarita, the brussell sprouts and the chefs special sushi and sashimi platter. That portions were ample and the fish was noticeably fresh.
Great addition to the neighborhood and will definitely be back.
The Bone marrow, fried rice, edamame, sushi, the chops and the steak were outstanding.
The server Laveena was also really helpful.
The sushi in particular was superb. Especially the crispy rice one.
We went here about thrice. Totally worth it.
Had the steak tartare and bone marrow to start. I got a sashimi plate, which was explained by our server. My wife got the steak with tallow fries. I am lucky enough to finish her meal too. Steak was cooked perfectly….
Spent my Sunday morning with my dear at Blue Ribbon Sushi & Steak. We’ve been to other Blue Ribbon branches before and are always impressed with the food quality and service, so our expectations were high.
We had the 8oz Mishima steak, lamb chops, and a few sides; all of which were outstanding. The crispy rice was a pleasant surprise. It seemed like a simple dish, but the flavor and texture immediately reminded me of authentic Japanese crispy rice, perfectly paired with spicy tuna.
The lamb chops were an excellent recommendation from our server, G. Having them alongside Wagatake sake was truly superb.
The Mishima steak was cooked to the perfect temperature; tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced between juicy and meaty.
Overall, it was an amazing Sunday afternoon experience. We’ll definitely be coming back.
