Had a wonderful experience here! Got a Carmel Apple Pie Sundae and my husband had a Kit Kat Sundae and they were both so good! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

My mother in laws flight got delayed so we decided to find an ice cream joint to hit up and kill time….. and what a great choice this was! OLD SCHOOL ICE CREAM BAR, where your greated upon entry and offered a Menu, yes an ice cream menu! And OH BOY do they have lots of choices….
Next time you’re near Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, Scranton be sure to stop in and enjoy some delicious ice cream and wonderful customer service!
You won’t be disappointed with the ice cream or the prices… 2 ice cream sundaes and a cone for $15.90.

Oh and don’t freak over the cherries, this is the natural color, no artificial dyes, even better for me!

Ice cream was good although our waiter was very rude. Had a bad attitude and gave us two dirty spoons back to back. She has red hair and a black and white bandanna.

They never have a problem with taking the ingredients from any seasonal or regular Sunday, and mixing it up in their vintage milkshake machine for me. It’s a little different every time but it compliments each of the waitresses unique character to give each milkshake its own identity. Much thanks and Love Blue Ribbon Dairy and their employees!

I used to love Blue Ribbon, but I can no longer support them. They are swindlers. When I go to the shop, everything is fine. Yet, when I buy a gallon to take home, every time, without fail, the toppings are on the top of the tub only and only the base flavor is in the rest of the gallon. Total rip off. Last straw was today when I picked up an ice cream cake for my husband’s birthday. There was almost no cookie crumble/filling in the cake. So, I effectively paid over $30 for a pan of soft serve ice cream with a thin layer of icing on the top. Shame on this business at this point.

I pass this small ice cream place 6 days a week and always wanted to stop by after work for a quick ice cream cone for the drive home to tunkhnnock. My aunt and uncle took me there one night after supper and it was good ice cream for the price. I went back a few weeks later and brought them with me for a Apple cider donut sundae and it sure is a delicious combination. I had to grab some ice cream sandwiches as well and now need to grab some more

Love this place-Nephews all approve! As the oldest said when I asked which flavor to get, ‘you can’t go wrong with whichever you choose’. So far he’s been right. My current fave is blueberry because I really can’t find one that even comes close elsewhere. Milkshakes are on point as well.

Stopped by for a cicada sundae and cup of coffee. This place has a 60’s vibe and is immaculate. Staff friendly.They brewed a new pot of coffee for me. Good ADA ramp. Unisex restroom. The chocolate brownie ice cream was delicious. Sundae and coffee about $6.00
