Outstanding food. I was very impressed with everything and I got so hungry I forgot to take pictures of the best part, the pizza! That crust is a real standout. The perfect chew and crunch.
Starters were great too.
Pizza did take a little while to come out. Luckily kids could run around the patio with plenty of room. Great servers.

Well, the food is absolutely amazeballz. Every pizza I’ve had here has been hella good and unique/special. The staff is the greatest. Temple and Brittany make my visits truly memorable and fun. I love the music, the vibe, the friendliness, and this whole spot. Go in and get the BTB Pizza (my favorite now) and a nice cold beer on tap. You wont be let down! A+++ for food and outstanding service! Love it!

We loved our meal here. The Stinking Rose garlic pizza was good, but you really need to be a garlic lover to have that! The roasted beet salad was huge, but if I had to not-Pic, I think it would be better if the almonds were slivered and toasted instead of whole, and cranberries would be a good addition! But, we loved it and will be back!

Best pizza and truffled popcorn in all of San Diego! I have been coming for over a decade and it never disappoints. I also highly recommend the signature dessert- butterscotch pudding. You will have one and want 5!!

Food was good and came out quickly. Many options to have in pizza and appetizers. We dropped by Monday night but it appears they were 1 person short so they were a bit under staffed. The staff was great regardless and coming from a food industry background we fan feel it. The hostest was helping clear out tables and closed us out and the two gentlemen did their best to help all other patrons. Great job to team on getting it done. Monday night do not justify having a ton of employees so we didn’t mind. If you don’t mind waiting a bit this place had various options. Definitely will recommend and we will be coming back.

I wish I could write a negative 5 star review. Please read this thoroughly to understand the experience. First, let’s start with empathy, it appeared that they were severely understaffed with just one busser and one waitress. For that, I feel bad for them. For our experience, they can go ef off. Read below.

We visited them on Saturday, December 27th in a group of 8:
– Stood at the check in for 10 minutes while the one waitress wouldn’t make eye contact with us
– Finally sat down, took 20 minutes to get the waitress. However, she did walk by 10 times and ignored us.
– I ordered a diet coke. She came back and said they were out of diet coke.
– I ordered a tea. It was 1/2 filled and full of tea leaves. I asked for a different pour and she said they were out of tea.
– Our meal took nearly an hour to show up. During this time, 8 other tables who ordered after us, got their food prior to us. Clearly, our order was never put in.

Here’s why the experience is a negative 5 stars. Again, I’m empathetic that they were understaffed. With that…
– They could have told us at check in
– There was no reason to ignore us
– If she had just said, “I’m sorry, we’re understaffed, I appreciate your patience”, that would have been a decent human thing to do
– No reason for her to be rude to us for asking for ketchup for my kids

While the waitress was rude, I clearly blame management. If you own this place and you had people not show up, don’t put your establishment in the hands of a single server.

It’s a good, solid pizza place that serves consistently tasty pies and great appetizers. They also have a good beer selection. I’ve been here 4-5 times and always have a nice time and enjoy the food.

Unfortunately, a couple things happened on my last visit that were negative. First, the hostess claimed they had no reservations when I had clearly made one and confirmed it via the restaurant website. Second, they seated my friends and I at a slanted table. Because of this, two glasses slid off and shattered over the course of the meal. They ready should not have a table there at all.

We had just attended a graduation and were looking for a pizza place nearby. Blue Ribbon came up in my Google search and was highly rated. We were pleased to immediately find parking. While waiting just a few minutes to be seated, we were warmly greeted by everyone that walked pass us. They have a heated patio and covered patio, in addition to the indoor space. We opted for the covered patio for more space. It was a chilly evening, but we were plenty warm with the standing heater by the table. We ordered the truffle popcorn (insanely delicious), the pear and prosciutto salad, a cheese pizza and the My Father’s pizza. It was all great! Everyone at the table was satisfied. My 7 year old also rated it 5 stars. We wanted to have ice cream for dessert and they kindly pointed us to an ice cream shop a few doors away.

New Yorker chiming in. I grew up 5 minutes away from the best pizza I’ve ever had. How does this compare?

Service
The staff here are so kind and knowledgeable. Our waiter had recommendations when we needed them.

Atmosphere
Lots of seating, especially outdoors. Kind of like a bar type atmosphere.

Food
Buckle up and bring your favorite pizza partner like I did. We got the Staff’s Favorite and the East Coast. The Staff’s Favorite was also my favorite. By that logic, you’d think I’m part of the staff but that is simply not true. I do not work at Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizzeria. Anyway, the sausage and the creamy sauce paired nicely. The East Coast was really good too. Overall, some of the best pizza I’ve had on the west coast.

Dessert
This one gets its own section. It’s pretty bold to put all your eggs in one basket and only serve one thing for dessert, but I can see why they do it. The butterscotch pudding is incredible. Light, custardy, not-too-sweet. The sea salt adds a nice depth to the flavor. I’d go back for the butterscotch pudding alone.

Would I recommend?
YES. Do it.

Great place to get brick oven wood fired pizzas! Amazing selection and variety of options. Loved their appetizers as well – risotto balls with prosciutto and parmesan cheese, and fried ravioli with ricotta cheese. Their beer selection was great as well – a lot of nice local beer on draft. Loved the Choco porter 🙂 and the dessert, butterscotch pudding, is to die for!!! If you are ever in the Encinitas area and love pizza do try, and you won’t be disappointed!!!
