We were looking for something other than a chain restaurant. Found this on my car navigation. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was abundant and good! I had chicken fried steak that was enormous! The service was friendly and helpful.

In from out of town for a funeral. Had breakfast here. So good we came back the next morning before leaving town. Some of the best dinner food I can remember having! If you like hot sauce, try out their own brand. It’s amazing

Just moved to Monroe and tried for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was wonderful and the Benedict was great with poached eggs cooked perfectly and real hollandaise. We will return. They took extra care with small kids. My wife had the veggie skillet and the cremini mushrooms were a nice touch. Also inside was nice and clean and well updated.

Outside marquee needs new letters so people can understand what they’re reading. Menus need cleaned. Salt shaker at the table we sat at needed attention. Something was on the inside of it as well. My burger didn’t taste right. I could not finish it.

Even though it was breakfast time they the dinner plates we really wanted. We stopped in from out of town and i had the Prime rib, french onion soup, and mashed potatoes. Well overall meal, pleasantly enjoyed the food here.

Service was nice, atmosphere was okay, but the food was just awful, I ordered a French onion soup, the onions were undercooked almost raw, the croutons were soggy, the cheese was pretty much non existent and they put PARMESAN cheese on the soup, which isn’t in a French onion soup recipe at all. My father ordered a salad, extra ranch, they came out the salad had zero ranch on the salad itself which it advertised itself to have, only in a small little cup, they claimed that the salad was Romaine Lettuce, but it was Iceberg Lettuce. The cheese used for the salad was sliced AMERICAN CHEESE and HAM sliced with it, my father also ordered no tomatoes and they put giant slices of tomatoes inside the salad. by far the worst salad I’ve ever seen. I ordered the Reuben and I was severely disappointed. It was on white bread, not marbled rye, they only toasted the outside of the sandwich which made it soggy, they had the thousand island dressing on the side and it wasn’t enough for both sandwiches and their French fries are god awful, no seasoning at all, it’s like they just deep fried potatoes without putting salt on afterwards

We were so happy to find a decent diner while in Monroe for a short visit. We moved to northern Kentucky years ago and it’s just not the same experience down there.
Excellent food, friendly/kind service, and the best diner coffee I’ve had in years.
Bonus – they make their own hot sauce that is out of this world.
We highly recommend this place, especially for breakfast!
