Blue Ocean is a solid go-to whenever you’re in the Clinton area. Convenient location off of I-26, plenty of parking and seating. Portions are large! You can never go wrong with the popcorn shrimp and calabash chicken. Delicious! Don’t fill up on hushpuppies! My husband had the ribeye and said it was delicious! Always good food and service. You won’t go home hungry. Can also accommodate large groups!

4 of us made the trip to Clinton for the Cancon event which was right down below this restaurant at the Clinton House.
We searched for a good restaurant and this one had good reviews so we have it a shot. My wife got the grilled salmon and shrimp and I got the broiled seafood platter.
First things first, the hush puppies, they were fried nicely and tasted fresh and the tarter sauce was pretty good.
My wife’s grilled salmon was really good, but the shrimp were over cooked but still tasted ok.
My food was cooked correctly and probably some of the best broiled oysters I’ve ever eaten! Flounder was very good as well.
Overall it was a good experience and we’ll go back again next year when Cancon comes back around.

I finally got to try this restaurant after a coworker recommended it three years ago. Food affects my mood and I left this place very happy! The atmosphere is immediately pleasant because they have a waterfall wall and you get to listen to the water rushing while you dine. My server Misty was very nice and helped me decide what to eat. She didn’t make me feel weird for eating by myself and taking up her booth nor did she rush my meal. The free bowl of hush puppies were addictive and the best I’ve had. They didn’t taste greasy or oily. All servers were offering little extras to enhance the dining experience of patrons; melted butter, sour cream, cinnamon butter, etc. Portions were plentiful and service was great. A better dining experience than your average seafood restaurant.

I don’t usually see restaurants that getting better with time, however, today is proof this one has. The Fried Alaskan White fish was better than ever before and I have been here many times. Service was outstanding ! Everything was Fantastic !

Favorite seafood restaurant! Even though it’s an hour away, it’s definitely worth the drive. The food is always consistently great and the employees are are always super friendly. The fried grouper, deviled crab and baby shrimp is my favorite. I also love the complimentary hush puppies.

Very reminiscent of some of the seafood restaurants at Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed the jumbo shrimp red snapper and clam strips. A good selection of several types of fish. We had ours fried but it can be broiled as well.

This place right here…does NOT disappoint! Ranked #3 place to eat in Clinton, SC. I was immediately greeted and seated. Destinee was my waitress who was super polite and attentive. She delivered a bowl of hush puppies. I ordered the fish sandwich which came with cole slaw and a side for ONLY $10.99.
When my food came out HOT & fresh, I could not believe the portion size. This dish came with 2 HUGE fish fillets. I could only eat one without the bun. The onion rings are superb (crunchy). The Cole slaw texture was great (very fine), but lacked on flavor. I also HAD to order a strawberry cheesecake slice for later. Again, shocked at the portion size.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BLUE OCEAN SEAFOOD if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed!

I’ve been eating here for years. Today, my husband went and picked up the food,(we live an hour away.) Luckily he checked the order, because I ordered a shrimp cocktail, 2 loaded baked potatoes and mozzarella sticks. My potatoes were not in the bag, so he went and got those. Then he gets home.(again, an hour drive.) My cheese is MOLDY. and my shrimp cocktail has no cocktail sauce. I’ve never had a problem before this, but this is absolutely unacceptable. As someone who works in the food industry, you don’t just miss this. Both containers were molded in multiple spots.

Got here just as soon as they open (you need to with this place because it’s always jam packed from about 4:30 till closing time).
Thursday is the All-You-Can eat Crab Leg special..I went for the traditional shark attack..which is a 10oz sirloin steak, baby shrimp and one side..which I had a craving for a baked potato.
You automatically get a side of hush puppies for free when you get to your table or booth.
Salad…self explanatory but don’t expect to finish it..you get about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through and the meal comes out.
Sirloin Steak – Excellently seasoned, perfect char and cooked great. I won’t say excellent…just because I ordered it medium rare, more on the rare side and it came out more on the medium side…not deducting anything for that.
Baby Shrimp – Had the best seasoning to it that I’ve ever had…lightly coated..can tell it was made in-house and not frozen. The cocktail sauce with it, is made IN-HOUSE and on the table already (it’s the dark red bottle)…sweet but with heat.
Had Melissa as a server…very attentive, always checking in even though it was starting to get busy.
Plenty of parking and has handicap access.
10* and will be back.
