Some really great bbq. Bbq beans, brussel sprouts, and burnt ends were probably the best ive had. Banana pudding is really good as well. Prices are reasonable and 100% worth it. Food came out really quick too

Brisket sandwich and brisket burger were really good. Sichuan wings were good with the right amount of spice. Garlic Mac and cheese was decent but a bit too garlicky and the sauce was a bit thin. Banana budding was liquidy which was odd so I didn’t eat much but the flavor was good and the Nila wafers seemed homemade. Service was great. Atmosphere is great. We enjoyed sitting outside.

Cool place to go eat, have a drink and watch a football game. We got the brisket, pulled pork & sausage. Sides include mac, beans, Brussels and tots. Would get everything again with the exception of the sausage. House BBQ sauce was great.

Ordered the special, chorizo torta. My boyfriend just got an assortment of their sides. All of them were delicious. The gumbo is chicken and sausage, which I appreciated since I don’t eat seafood. Idk why it took me five years to try this place. You’d be doing yourself a disservice by not going

My husband was craving sweet tea and thank goodness he was! He got that with a hefty side of some very tasty bbq. I loved both sausage flavors and the bark on the brisket was absolutely perfect! What a fantastic experience on our last full day in town. I wish we had a location in Oklahoma!

The customer service was decent. The atmosphere was fine. The food however, was dry. Just downright disgusting overpriced for dry flavors overcooked meat. I will never revisit this place again and I have been to this place two times the first time it was terrible. I gave him the benefit of doubt it was a pretty busy day. Maybe they missed their Mark could always smell so good. I went back again. I don’t even know if they know where their market is, but it was disgusting

Five Stars for Blue Oak Barbecue!
This was my second visit to Blue Oak Barbecue, and once again, they did not disappoint. Both times have been consistently great experiences. The BBQ here is hands down the best in New Orleans. The ribs are packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, the brisket is incredibly moist and tender, and the pulled pork is equally tasty. You can tell they put real care into everything they serve. If you’re a barbecue lover, this spot is a must-visit in NOLA!

A very solid spot for some yummy BBQ, I would definitely come back here. You order all your food and pay, then sit anywhere you’d like. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We thought our food tasted great. We would especially recommend the tater tots, they weren’t regular tater tots. Extra yummy.

As our friend said, if you’re coming to Nola eat at the best places. Food is too important in New Orleans to go “average.” Blue Oak was a perfect last meal in the Crescent City. Stand in line, grab a table and get ready to enjoy superb BBQ. For us folks looking to “catch up” the place was a bit noisy inside. Outside lot’s of misting fans help to keep you cool. Friendly, casual, & no need to dress up. Come for the food and be prepared to lick those fingers!
