The food was outstanding here. There was a flavor explosion with every bite everything was made very well and very fresh. I even got to try a couple of our parties lunch. Everything was so good I can’t wait to come back here and try different items. All of the workers were very helpful on picking items and customizing them. This is one of my new favorite sandwich shops. I’ll be back to try more soon.

Nice array of classic sandwiches here, and they are done well. I have pictured the Reuben, which was a perfect example, in my opinion. Heaps of corned beef… They don’t skimp. I was also interested in trying the Cuban, Philly Cheese Steak and Tuna Melt, but unfortunately I couldn’t try them all. The atmosphere is nice too, with some artwork of iconic people and laid back employees. I definitely recommend giving Blue Moon a go.

Took my daughter out for lunch as this was a first time visit for both of us. Both lunch plates were really delicious, fresh and we enjoyed them. This is a little gem and got really busy closer to twelve noon.

What a hidden gem in my small town!!! . Absolutely amazing food . The potato soup I’m the bread bowl is literally 11/10. The food is very fresh and the staff is super nice. 10/10 most definitely recommend. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite if you haven’t already..

Today we stopped in and got Beef barley soup and Ty’s Cobb salad. This is a peaceful environment with indie vibes. A healthy stop for a day in Alpena. Soups change throughout the week with the option of getting a bread bowl. They also have a variety of hot teas.

Stopped in 1/2 hour before closing time. Diningroom was closed but I was able to order carry out. I got THE BEST chef salad I think I’ve ever eaten. Served up with a gracious smile. I hope I will be able to return and enjoy it once again. The place seemed very clean. Just seemed like a healthier option in the area. Thankful to have found them!

I have been hesitant to try Blue Moon because I loved the Take5 deli that was here previously. It was actually my favorite lunch spot in Alpena.
Well let me tell you that you shouldn’t wait like I did because I just had an outstanding lunch. The turkey spinach artichoke on rye and a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup is a definite must!

First time to Alpena, Blue Moon Cafe was recommended by a local store owner. We arrived at 12:30 on a Thursday, so the lunch crowd was there. No enough seating to accommodate everyone so we got ours to-go.We ordered the French Dip and the Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich, and both were excellent. Will definitely be back
