Visiting from Las Vegas NV. My sister lives in Salem Massachusetts and they brought us here for lunch. Had the calamari shrimp cocktail for appetizers fantastic. All our entree’s were amazing my shrimp scampi was delicious highly recommend this place! Our waitress Courtney was a joy she was very attentive great service!! ❤️❤️

Today marked the first 80° day of 2025, and we took full advantage of it with a visit to Gloucester and Rockport, Massachusetts. While walking along the beach walkway in Gloucester, a friendly tourist from New Hampshire recommended Blue Marlin Grille to us. It wasn’t far off our route home, so we decided to stop by around 4 p.m.
As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with complimentary bacon bread and freshly whipped house-made butter. Both were delicious and just enough to warm up our appetite for the main course.
Following the recommendation, we ordered the seafood plate and the house burger. As you can see from the photo, the seafood plate was massive—loaded with big shrimp, oysters, and a generous portion of fish. The portions were so large, we couldn’t even finish half of it!
To top it off, our dog got to enjoy a good bite of the burger once we got back to the car.
If you’re ever in the area, we highly recommend stopping by Blue Marlin Grille. Great food, generous portions, and a perfect stop after a beach day!

I had French onion soup and chicken wings. My wife had clam strips and haddock. Way too much food. Took half home. Food tasted fantastic.

Lobster Pie was amazing. Full lobster meat, claws, tail, knuckles in a delicious congac cream sauce topped with buttery bread crumbs. Best lobster pie anywhere. Delicious! Also had perfectly fried clams as an appetizer. As good as anywhere including that famous name down the street. Great service. Saw some fried dinners on other tables and they were huge! This place is a winner.

Came here for lunch after a beach day, and it was the perfect choice! My sisters and I sat at the bar, and we were approached immediately for drinks. I went with a pain killer. Strong, but still tasty. For appetizers, we went with well fleet oysters, steamers, and had some of their toasted bread. The oysters were amazing!! I wish there was a mignonette, but even without it, I could have eaten 2 dozen! The steamers were big boys! Great size for 3 of us to pick on before our meals. Lastly, let’s not forget the bread. It was so fresh and so good served with whipped butter. It was crunchy on the outside, but warm and soft in the inside. You had a perfect bite with the sweet butter melting on top. I had to restrain myself from eating the entire loaf. For my meal I went with a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was dressed nicely with crunchy croutons and well-seasoned chicken. We left this place full and happy!

The food was outstanding! Generous portions, everything so fresh and cooked to perfection. The lobster roll was simple and properly prepared, and they did not skimp on the meat. Clam chowder was one of the best I’ve tried. Marinated steak tips were tender and flavorful. I would absolutely eat here again.

We visited the Blue Marlin Grille. It is 5 STARS for us.. It a nice atmosphere, nice beachy blue and green decor, very clean, friendly staff felt welcome. There was a very large bar that at least 3 other customers encouraged us to sit and eat at. But we wanted to sit at a table. They specialize in seafood but have all kinds of food. Salads, soups, and a great variety of appetizers, different food options, and large portions. The fried clams were excellent!!! Fresh oysters delicious. Fried Haddock was great. Don’t recommend the calamari. Otherwise it was a good experience enjoyed ourselves they have a full bar including Martinez I recommend this restaurant definitely for seafood.
