The braised pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right balance of savory and slightly sweet. Portions were generous, and the sides didn’t feel like an afterthought. The truffle preserved radish omelet had a subtle earthy aroma without being overpowering, and the drunken shrimp were fresh, plump, and well seasoned.
Highly recommend adding the milk tea creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. They also offer weekday happy hour with 50% off select appetizers, which makes it even more worth visiting. Plus, they have private rooms, making it a great option for anything from a casual weekday lunch to a small group gathering.
Would definitely come back to try more dishes!
Although the menu listed 14 courses, it honestly felt like over 20 dishes with how generous the portions were definitely great value. The skewers and tempura came in multiple varieties, and I loved the little touch of yuzu sorbet in between courses to refresh the palate. Every dish was beautifully presented, almost like a Taiwanese version of omakase.
Their drinks are just as creative as the food. The cocktail menu is impressive and playful, but if you don’t drink, their fruit tea and milk tea are just as satisfying and very true to flavor.
The restaurant itself feels upscale yet comfortable, with two large private dining rooms that make it perfect for gatherings. It’s a spot I’d definitely choose for family dinners or get-togethers with friends, plenty of dishes that both adults and kids would enjoy, paired with attentive service.
Was super excited for this and made the reservation for their winter tasting menu the moment it was announced. It was undeniable that they have really great service. Kudos to the team. But the food was nowhere near that.
Best dishes: Lamb chop and Sesame oil duck noodles
• These two dishes were the best out of everything they served, but it wasn’t mind blowing. To level set, the bar was really low for these 2 to make it to the top.
The not so good: (nod to the fresh ingredients used)
• Everything else on the menu. Missing flavors. The crudos were a huge disappointment. If you’re telling me that these ingredients were used, I expect to taste them.
• The flavor profile for each item was flat and monotonous. It was very painful sitting thru the entire dinner (2.5+ hours) where you were served food that consistently fell short of expectations.
• Look at the tofu pudding they served at the end. Maybe do 1 good dessert, instead of making 2.
Overall: I think they shld focus on what they do best. Focus on quality and not quantity. I really appreciate their fusionizing attempt, but it was not good at all. Also, hot food were served slightly cooler than room temperature, except for the noodle dish. If you’d ask if I’ll return, I’d probably say no.
Totally recommend coming here with friends or family. It’s great for sharing dishes and just enjoying a chill, delicious meal. Don’t skip the desserts, they’re amazing!
The restaurant is stunning and packed—reservations highly recommended. Many guests were speaking Taiwanese, and I also noticed families gathering in their gorgeous private rooms. My husband said this is exactly the kind of Taiwanese restaurant LA needs: a place where people can come together for holidays, enjoy a refined environment, and still taste authentic flavors. Perfect for business dinners or date nights.
Although the Mid-Autumn menu was listed as 14 courses, each section actually included multiple dishes—felt like I had dozens! I was so full; definitely eat light beforehand. A few standouts for me:
• Tea-Smoked Duck Breast & Scallop Aiyu Jelly – a creative pairing of Taiwanese street snack and premium ingredients, smoky yet refreshing.
• Seafood Steamed Egg with Truffle – silky, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend!
• Yakitori Skewers – surprising to see so many in one tasting menu. They were grilled over fruitwood charcoal, incredibly aromatic.
• Shaoxing Cream Lobster – the sauce was divine, especially mixed with butter rice.
Desserts were also lovely, each carrying a sense of Eastern festivity. The bar area is worth a visit too—the backdrop painting has a refined Oriental elegance, and the bartender (who reminded me of actress Wan Peng) was stunning and chic. I tried a fruit tea and a Long Island Taro Milk, but next time I’ll go for their quirky popcorn cocktail.
What’s special about this place is how traditional Taiwanese snacks are elevated with creative presentation, yet the flavors stay authentic. Even older generations would feel right at home.
We went along with our two toddlers and the staff were so accommodating by setting up the high chairs, even bringing out kid friendly utensils without being asked. Despite being fine dining, the entire staff were attentive to our kids’ needs and adjusted dishes just for us.
I absolutely loved the Century Noodles – savory bouncy bites of egg with chewy noodles – our kids really enjoyed this dish as well. The Avocado Tofu Salad was a total hit with adults – light, creamy, and delicious and the Cold Noodles with poached egg was another favorite, but the Cabbage Casserole honestly blew me away – unexpectedly rich and satisfying, I could enjoy it every day.
The ambiance is stylish yet cozy and the decor is stunning. The space is truly beautifully designed, and every detail in the restaurant feels intentional. The staff is warm and welcoming and happy to help with any questions and they were so good with two squirmy loud toddlers. You can tell there’s real care and thought in the ingredients and presentation. It’s such a fresh concept, and I’m already looking forward to going back and trying more.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves Taiwanese food – or is ready to fall in love with it.
I felt it right after eating. My mom went after we got home. Menu items are a bit limited since they just opened. Hope they add a few more dishes. Kinda pricy though.
