I was in this plaza few days ago , my husband had a doctor visit , the room was crowd so I went out and walking in the plaza and I discover this restaurant , I wanted just a snack to go but when I went in i find a nice atmosfere , very welcoming So I sit had 3 egg roll with a glass of wine, the service was superb with the young Japanise American waiter a future Jazz musician , had really good time , you shall try, the hospitality is great, food is fabulous too, Sorry I eat the egg roll and show empty plate in the photo , i hope I go there again since i live over 30 minutes away but one day I will. Thank you all of you that work in this little restaurant . I felt I was in Japan! LOl, really , Arigato!

Had to finally stop by Blue Ginger. It’s been in my boyfriend’s and I’s list for a while now.

The gyoza and the crab rangoons were fire. I initially was a tad disappointed in the small amount of crab in the ‘goons, but I was too happy about actually eating them to mind. Miso soup is a classic. I love it. their onion soup was also great.

I got the Ahi tuna tower while my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki dinner. I stole a piece of his chicken… yum! They didn’t slack on the tuna on my tower. Always been a fan of the crab & avocado with it, I feel it compliments the spice of the tuna well.

Our waitress tonight was Dolma. Very sweet, super attentive. Service was quick. My heart burn was catching up to me at the end of my meal and she rushed over with water when she noticed, haha.

We will be coming back! Thank you.

Great experience. Our server was the sweetest. Good tasting food without the show or price. Huge sushi selection.

This was a very pleasant dining experience! I searched online for sushi in the Denton Texas area and Blue Ginger was a good find. This was my first time eating here. The restaurant was busy, which made me believe it was a good spot. I got my food quickly and it was delicious! Two sushi rolls and some onion soup. I will definitely stop by here the next time I am in the area.

This used to be my favorite sushi spot in Denton. The service was never good, BUT the owner was warm and friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was inviting. I don’t know what happened between then and now, but the entire restaurant is a shell of what it once was. This evening, we walked in to find 3 hostesses sitting behind the host stand, and one of them was eating. I guess that’s not technically a problem, but it was strange. We were seated and greeted promptly by a young man who took our drink order, brought our drinks, and then disappeared to the back office (I could see his head) for 10 minutes. 10 minutes is not an exaggeration. He came back finally and said “do you need more time?” Which was funny… We ordered, and about 15 minutes later, my partners food came out of the kitchen. I then proceeded to watch MY food sit atop the sushi line for (again, not an exaggeration) 7 minutes. During the 7 minutes, our server was seated in the office again. The owner was at the register preparing to go orders. The 3 hostesses were still seated at the host stand, being paid to… watch the door? I guess? 2 other servers walked past my food at least half a dozen times. The people at this restaurant operate with 0 concern for the guests, 0 sense of urgency, and 0 appreciation for the customer. The food was also mid, at best. The Temptation Roll that I used to dream about was a bland shadow of what it used to be. What a shame. For one of the pricier sushi places in Denton this is an absolute ripoff. I will not return.

My friends and I have an annual tradition of going to Mt. Fuji Hibachi in Highland Village, after Christmas Eve service at church. This year, there were no reservations available at Mt. Fuji. We instead went to ablue Ginger Japanese Bistro. While they don’t have a hibachi grill to sit and be entertained, they do offer hibachi entrees. Which we ordered (filet mignon and shrimp). There were generous portions of both.

We also ordered dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers, along with the Denton sushi roll and smoked salmon.

Everything was tasted, very good portions and frankly, I personally thought the food was better at Blue Ginger than our traditional dinner at Mt. Fuji.

It is a smaller location and the seating is a bit tight, but well worth the squeeze.

Our server was good, though she didn’t seem to want to be there and was morose. She did her job and was good to ensure all of our food was spaced out and not to arrive all at once.

Me and my family come here often and are never disappointed. The staff is quick to get what you need and answer any questions with kindness.
Each roll we received was flavorful, fresh, and delicious and the sauce complimented each one beautifully.
I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone wanting to try some fresh sushi.

Did not enjoy any of the sushi. Something was off. Sushi is one of our favorites and we get it all the time. This was the eel. We had to throw all of it away after a few bites. Spent a lot too. Disappointed to say the least

Quaint sushi restaurant tucked further back in past Rodeo Goat and Chuy’s if you’re on I-35. It was our first time here and we had a great experience. My husband and I both got the Maki Lunch with 3 rolls and 2 rolls with gyoza as our appetizer. He ordered salmon avocado, tuna, and the Philadelphia roll. I got the salmon avocado and shrimp tempura. All of it was delicious and felt very light, which was what we were looking for. I believe their lunch is also available on weekends until 3pm. The menu has lots of options and we will definitely be back to explore it and try other items! Overall, a must-try if you’re in the Denton area looking for sushi!
