My experience at Blue Ginger was overall a positive one! What struck me at first was how clean the restaurant was. You could tell they definitely put the effort in to keep their restaurant clean and tidy. The service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the crab rangoons decently as well as the General Tso chicken. The egg roll wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t horrible either. My biggest complaint is that the price seemed a bit high for what I got. Parking seems to be a bit tight as well. However, I had a great experience overall and would recommend coming here to those in the area!

Amazing food! We visited today after living here over a decade ago and the food is still consistently delicious. Service is quick and I couldn’t recommend more! Try the shrimp summer rolls, crab Rangoon, and pictured: pan fried noodles, birds nest style.

Ordered take out for the first time from this restaurant. Got home and opened the bags-how disappointing! I ordered the lunch orange chicken and it only came with 6 pieces of overcooked, tasteless chicken. Soup wasn’t filled and there was no crab in the crab ragoons! Total waste of $30!!! Will not be back.

I love this place! I’ve never had a bad experience here with the service or the food and the food is consistently good and doesn’t leave you with a “heavy” feeling afterwards. My favorite items are the Crab Rangoon, which is fried perfectly and stuffed with the right amount of crab cheese. Too much or too little filling would ruin it so these are perfect! The Orange Chicken with white rice is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce as it’s amazing as well. I love that they also include the tea. Some places charge for it separately.
Between the nice and welcoming customer service to the delicious food that is served, this is definitely a place I recommend if you’re ever passing through the area.

Blue Ginger is the best sit-down Chinese restaurant in the Grand Rapids area. The service is always phenomenal. I’ve been coming for 10+ years and am yet to have a bad meal. I’m yet to even have a so-so meal. It’s always great.
They bring water and hot tea to your table. The tea is so good and compliments their food nicely. The food comes out family style, with a big bowl of communal rice and a dish of each ordered entree. The rangoons here are very delicate, I recommend them.
If you like spicy food, Blue Ginger’s hottest available spice level probably won’t reach what you want. Even their hottest spice is pretty tame heat-wise. Still, if you want premium Chinese food in GR and not low quality mass made buffet Chinese, then Blue Ginger is the place to go. I’d go here over PF Chang’s any day.

I love this place. Been going since I was a kid and I haven’t been in a while. We were immediately sat, the service was great! I like that it’s quiet and the server takes care of everything. He boxed up our food for us and like would set the plates for us. Idk it was just super nice. Genuinely refreshing with how restaurants are now a days

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and both ordered the orange chicken off lunch menu. It came with an egg roll and fried rice but we opted for steamed rice. We were given hot tea, which was very good. The orange chicken was very flavorful but not at all spicy, which we like. Will definitely ask them to add spice next time. Very tender meat with lots of sauce. The egg roll was a bit over fried and the filling was a very well molded piece of meat with very small bits of vegetable. We are used to seeing fresh cabbage and carrots with pieces of meat. I did not eat mine, my husband ate his. Will definitely give them another try. Very roomy dining area, plenty of space to maneuver a walker or wheelchair.

This was the first time going here. Phenomenal food! So good and cooked with love! We usually go to a restaurant much closer to our house, but lately its been bland! Blue Ginger has so much flavor! We ordered the house fried (shrimp, beef and shrimp) and beef fried rice. So much egg, beef, chicken! Ordered “beef string”. So, so very good! I think we could get full on their appetizers! All of it is so full of flavor! This will definitely be our new restaurant for Asian cuisine! Well done!! Wish I could give 10 starts!
