Down-to-earth restaurant whipping up inventive sushi rolls as well as traditional Japanese dishes.

I really enjoyed eating here. My server was friendly, efficient, and checked on me a reasonable intervals.
The food was really good, especially those ninza cakes! $5 drink specials throughout the week as well.
I’ve walked by this place multiple times on my way to Old Town Burrito (another fave of mine), but I’m really glad I stopped in at Blue Fin Sake Bar. I will definitely eat here again the next time I’m in town.

I had a good experience at Blue Fin. There’s a bunch of good options for sushi. I thought all 4 rolls my significant other amd I got were good.

We dined in at Blue Fin Sake Bar & Sushi and had a really good experience overall. The sushi was great—fresh, well prepared, and full of flavor. You can definitely tell care goes into the rolls and presentation. The appetizers were also good and came out quickly, making it a nice start to the meal. Service was solid and friendly, and while the atmosphere wasn’t perfect, it was still comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for quality sushi and we would absolutely come back again.

Service was respectable. The food however could be better for the price paid, atmosphere did not aid to this. I will not be returning. If you’re looking for quality for the same price point I recommend Sapporo near Towne East, same price higher quality , amazing atmosphere.

Blue Fin Sake Bar & Sushi offers an impressive selection of fresh, flavorful sushi and a wide variety of sake to pair with your meal. The fish quality is exceptional, and the creative rolls are expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall dining experience.
However, while the food and drinks are outstanding, I do wish the ambiance were a bit more refined to match the quality of the cuisine. A more inviting or elevated atmosphere would make this place even better.
That said, if you’re looking for top-tier sushi and sake, Blue Fin is well worth a visit!

Fantastic happy hour drinks! The lychee martini and the Geisha cocktail were delicious. We got the chef choice sushi/sashimi and experienced some delicious pieces. It’s a great deal. I would recommend this place and hope to visit again.

The sushi quality isn’t what it used to be, and the spicy mayo is too hot now. Still, the service, wait time, and atmosphere are all excellent.

The sauce on chicken katsu bento was literally BBQ sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled on top, which is not authentic at all. The sushi rolls and nigiri was pretty good. The rest of the food was decent. The inside is nothing special and has plenty of seating. On the bright side, it was not busy and the food arrived relatively quickly after ordering off the menu. Overall, this place earns 3 and a half stars.

This place was really good! Fantastic selection and the taste was amazing! I have to say this is probably one of my all-time favorite sushi restaurants. The portions were large, and the staff was extremely friendly. I wish the environment had more of a Japanese feel to it, though. Maybe darker, with Japanese pop music. I will definitely be going back. Coca-Cola products.

The food was good. The service was lacking tho! They did try, there just wasn’t enough servers to complete the services. The atmosphere was quiet and seemed to be very peaceful. They have an excellent selection of both American and Japanese Whiskey’s. I really did enjoy the experience and would recommend it as a good spot to have a quiet lunch, or an early dinner before starting your night of old town festivities!
