We visited last night and had great food and great service. The only reason for 4 stars was due to the restaurant being very quiet. Though it was very early on in the evening and on a Monday.
The guy that served us was such a nice guy who could not do enough for you he wa a credit to the restaurant.
The food was awesome and the price was very reasonable. All in all on put trip back to my home town we now have a great stop over for our favourite cuisine.

We were offered poppadoms first. They were delicious. Then we were waiting for at least 45minutes for our food. Our kids were starving. But my meal was missing. Waiter explained he didn’t hear my order. Food was tasty. Unfortunately they were the only restaurant available for that Saturday night. If service wasn’t that delayed, i would have given them 5 stars.

We usually go on a Friday at opening time. The restaurant itself is often very quiet — yet it’s obvious that takeaways are keeping them busy. Given how superb their food and service are, it’s a real shame more people don’t come in to eat.
From start to finish, everything is faultless. The staff are warm and attentive. The dishes are beautifully cooked, full of flavour and care. We always leave absolutely blown away by what they serve. The kind of food you expect in a big city restaurant—but here, with that personal touch that makes you want to return immediately.

After a long day of traveling I was looking for some dinner around 9pm and most everything around had ended dinner service but the blue elephant gladly served me and I had a delicious dinner with my cousin. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly and the service was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Booked a meal for 7-00 at the Blue Elephant for five, admittedly we were early arriving at 6-30. We eventually got a table around 7-20 after the people had left after 7. The food took a good time to come out even though the restaurant was less than half full. Food was lovely, well cooked and presented with very generous portions. Blue Elephant was lovely but felt it was disorganised at times with it’s service and customer organisation at times. At the current time they don’t serve alcohol, and you have to take your own.

King Prawn sizzler had a deep spice flavour complementing rather than drowning the seafood.
Great service despite our very early table and the constant stream of takeaway orders being received – clearly well-known around Ulverston. One for the list going forwards.

Still excellent. The food is not over spiced so that you can taste the ingredients. Today, superb aubergine and spinach dishes, and very tasty chicken and lamb. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant

On holiday last week, we decided to enjoy a curry for tea.
We chose Blue Elephant and we were not disappointed.
Very polite staff and service was top notch.
Really enjoyed the food and our plates were nice and clean by then end of it.
