Heartfelt Thanks for Blue Door’s Kindness and Delicious Food
I can’t express enough gratitude to the wonderful lady at Blue Door’s front desk. In a moment of despair, her kindness and a warm meal saved me. The food at Blue Door isn’t just tasty; it’s incredible. Each dish is cooked to perfection, and every bite is a delight. Blue Door isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place of compassion and delicious cuisine. Thank you to the amazing staff for their care and the fantastic food. You made a real difference in my life. This meal brought back many memories and now I want to keep living. She showed me there is good people left in this world.

Incredible value as a takeout option. Order at the location if you can. Great choices within the menu. Highly recommend any of the salads If you live in the Lincoln Park / Oz Park neighborhood walk in, pay with your phone but tip in cash. Avoid app ordering.

The food quality in terms of ingredients is, of course, superb. However, I got a coffee with a soup and sandwich combo for nearly $20 and it was literally a children’s size meal. I don’t know how the rest of the portions work but I was still hungry after my meal. I should have taken a picture of it but you would’ve needed a magnifying glass to recognize my lunch. I have no doubt that the local neighborhood folks could not care less about the prices given the location of this spot, but man, it didn’t even taste that good. With every bite I took I wished I had gone to Panera.

Sorry to say this was a horrible dining experience. There was a table next to us with 3 kids and their parents were letting them runaround aimlessly, each with an iPhone playing a show on full volume. They were disturbing every single table in the room, and many people kept looking at the table of parents who were not intervening at all. The wait staff ignored everything, and overall were not attentive to our table despite the noise. One of our dishes was never put in, and we didn’t receive it (an appetizer) until the later half of our meal, to which there was no apology or comp. I was going to complain about this to a manager, but I couldn’t find one & frankly we all just wanted to leave because it was so bad. I will not be dining here again. The food was good, not great.

Massively overpriced now. Menu online said my wrap was $8, but I was charged $15. Called the restaurant and they said they haven’t updated the website yet, but the increase was accurate.
I understand prices increasing these days, but there is no excuse for nearly doubling the price on a menu and then not updating the website. None.
We will never order from here again or eat at the main restaurant. I would suggest everyone take their business elsewhere. This is incredibly upsetting and deceptive.

Very cute restaurant well located in Lincoln Park. The atmosphere was adorable–like a French bistro. The food was fantastic, and the portions were large. It was a bit pricey. We should have skipped desert. The options were just not very tastey.

A bit expensive however the food is delicious and worth the splurge every now and again. Service and friendly and quick however I believe this location only does take out, if you’re looking for the full sit down experience their dining room is down the street.

Quick and easy lunch spot to grab food to bring into the Lincoln Park Zoo. While the menu options are fairly standard for a cafe, the food was fresh and pretty taste, and service was quick.
