The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. However, it was a bit salty. If you’d like a lower-sodium meal, please let us know when ordering. The staff were also very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

My husband and I were traveling north and looking for a place to have a late lunch when we came across this spot. We were pleasantly surprised and ended up enjoying a great meal. We were seated right away, the outdoor seating area was spacious, and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall, a really good experience.

We have eaten at the BlueCow many times. Food choices have been anywhere from a steak, burgers (steak burger) to chicken, mussels and fish. We’ve never had a bad meal! They have delicious cocktails and wine and the atmosphere is very comfortable!

Staff always treats us with respect and are friendly. Wish we had some place like this closer to home.

Can’t say enough great things about this gem. I’ve eaten here at least 20 times in my life and consider myself fortunate every time I get to go back. This time it was for a pesto sort of mini-pizza starter, a lovely and perfectly cooked 4 oz filet, a summer special perch dish, affogato (espresso & vanilla gelato) and a treat worthy individual chocolate truffle. Service was great, food was incredibly well-prepared and even beyond that the menu looked amazing as always. They were fairly busy which I loved to see but a reminder to make a reservation for weekend evenings. Can’t wait to return soon (but not soon enough!).

I’ve not eaten at the restaurant in person but have been fortunate enough to be a part of two dinners catered by them. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Absolute favorite is the peanut butter pie – best I’ve ever had.

Excellent food, amazing service. Alisha and Issac continue to go the extra mile. We come all the way from GR to eat here! We’ve also used their catering service and it’s been outstanding! The champagne chicken is a favorite but we haven’t had anything we wouldn’t order again!

Absolutely love the Blue Cow! The food is always excellent and prepared to perfection. My personal favorites are the filet mignon or the salmon. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean. The staff is top notch; from the greetings at the door, to the service, to the drinks, and most are always up for good conversation. Pro tip: T, W, Th 4:00-6:00 is happy hour; complete with well priced drinks, appetizers, and entrees.

We drove from Grand Rapids for a fine dining meal. The online menu reeled us in with french onion soup, Caesar salad seafood options. The bread service was delicious. The entree portion of our meal too quite awhile to make it to our table. My filet minion was perfect medium rare. Beyond that my husband said his white fish was bitter tasting. The soup was very salty. The Caesar salad was pretty good, not great. For the price we paid and the hour long drive it was sadly not worth it. Our server however was very pleasant.

Ordered two peanut butter pies for my event and they were beyond fantastic! What a treat! Also a year ago we had chef come prepare my group an amazing dinner and he even treated us to a vegan dish that was out of this world… ten stars all the way!

First of all, I love Big Rapids. This gem of a restaurant is such a wonderful addition to the area.

The French Bread is amazing-the butter for it is next level yum.

Champagne chicken did not disappoint. My husband had the perch and it was outstanding.

Well done, Big Rapids!
