Great atmosphere very friendly staff. The fish dip appetizer was very creamy and delicious. The main dish was a very perfectly cooked Chicago black and blue tenderloin. Over all very happy with the food and enjoyed the great environment and atmosphere.

The food and atmosphere were excellent! The service was not great.. it took over 35 minutes to get a glass of wine, and we waited over an hour and a half for our food. Our waitress blamed it on a bartender not showing up for work, but we were there for a total of three hours, and she checked on our table, maybe five times. This was after she told us we were her only table, of which there were nine of us. We would go back though, as the food was excellent, once we got it.

Tonight we visited the Blue Cow from out of town and had great service. Jack was a great server, knew the menu, excellent recommendations, friendly, engaged in conversation and made us feel welcomed even though we came in near closing time. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Easily best place in Big Rapids. We had the white fish and Mediterranean pasta with Smokey chicken.

Excellent meal. Ordered sauteed Whitefish and the Champagne Chicken. Both were served with mixed vegetables and Parmesan Risotto which were excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when in the area.

Third best spot in town! So so so sad to see The Raven go BEFORE the blue cow… Since you’re letting one great business go to support another, I really hope to see vegetarian/ vegan options added to the menu for once.

The food was very tasty; the timing to get the food from sit down to eating was roughly 40mins. That wait time was a little long, considering there were probably 10 people in the restaurant, aside from myself and my 6 family members. Again, the food was great. 2 champagne chicken breasts, and risotto with creme vegetables. The meal was $23.99 before gratuity; not unreasonably priced by any means.

Got a new job and took the girl out for a fancy dinner. Our first time here. Service was alright, but we never got an our water refilled after the appetizer, kinda wild … but maybe that’s how it goes there. We each got the filet mignon and they were both undercooked. Usually I wouldn’t send something back, but if we order medium rare and it’s just completely red and we are paying $50 for each , the circumstances change lol.

Overall it was pretty decent however only 2 stars due to the premium price tag without the premium quality. I ordered the blackened salmon (they were out of the whitefish which I initially tried to order) which was not bad but for its $30 price tag was relatively small and was overcooked, not horribly overcooked but when I’m specifically asked how I would like it and even recommended to get it medium rare it’s disappointing to then have it come medium – medium well. My salmon also only came with a cup of risotto and 3 asparagus spears which were a little undercooked. Our appetizers were okay but again somewhat expensive considering the fish dip barely had enough bread for it and the cheese board included cheap walmart colby cheese. The whole place as well is pretty dimly lit and they gave me two salad forks. The drink I ordered was also very light on the alcohol or at least was not mixed very well. Overall they seem to be pushing a premium price and atmosphere but pretty average quality and small portions. If they stopped the “fine dining charade” then I’d say easy 4/5 and I can honestly say I left enjoying the food it’s just the fine dining price without the quality that demotes it to a 2/5.

The wait staff was excellent. The food was very tasty. Tried the Escargot and enjoyed the light flavor of garlic. The Honey goat cheese crostini was enjoyable but would have preferred the bread slightly less toasted. Husband tried the French Onion soup and said it was good but just a little sweet for his taste. Perhaps the type of onion used. It was still good. We both had the Champagne Chicken which was awesome. I went with the petite portion and he had the full size which is two chicken breasts. Would recommend this place to family and friends.

Not to impressed with the quality of food. I ordered the Argentina NY strip steak special ( $27.95).flavor was great, but it was full of fat and was super chewy, I ate maybe one third of it. The wife had the wagyu burger, and ate about half of it. Totally disappointed about the dinner, will not return.
