Some items like the crab cakes and shrimp were really good (too bad I didn’t just order that) & others are just put on the plate (dry potatoes). No sauces (tartar or cocktail) or butter provided with the meal I got. Had to make do with the lemon wedge & table hot sauce & ketchup. Heard alot about the place, had higher hopes. Guess its really just about the crabs. Hard to get some waiters attention, others stepped in to assist for silverware, glasses, & bill, but we still tipped. Went for a lite birthday celebration. Don’t hate it, but definitely didn’t love it.

My true rating is 4.7 – The wait was not long and customer service was very good. The restaurant was clean and the servers were very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! It was fresh and cooked extremely well. My platter was fried and not overcooked at all. My family said that crabs were very, very good. However, I didn’t really care for the mac & cheese. It really had no flavor. I also did not like that the gratuity was automatically added. Outside of that, I would highly recommend dining here.

Best seafood spot ever everything served fresh blue crabs are a nice size you can get them cleaned or not and the fried oysters amazing soft shell crab also tasty and the sauté mild or even hot seasoning is great always. Been taking my family here for 4years now. Don’t deny it til you try it!!

Comfortable dining areas. Good serviice. No reservations taken.. Very good food but don’t consider the mussels. I got takeout after dining in. Ate them the next day.

Went out for a night with my sisters! This place is BYOB. They were, unfortunately, out of Blue Claw Crabs when we arrived.
We had a few appetizers, clams, and salad , and soup. Pretty basic. There was nothing special about anything.
The staff was really nice. The food didn’t take long. Nothing was really seasoned, though. It looked delicious but tasted really bland, in my opinion.

I had the fortune of dining here at the recommendation of a friend. I organized a group of 9 people. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn’t takes reservations. Therefore, I was at the mercy of luck to be seated in advance of the 30 minutes i was told. We were seated in the back room which was private and perfect. Accessible via the parking lot, I was initially skeptical. But, it was the best place for us. The food was tasty. The service was on point. I was pleasantly surprised because the reviews were mixed. Service is always fantastic! Been coming here over the years and today I jumped on that road and traveled countless miles to get some seafood This establishment is so clean. Reservations are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED during the summer months from my experience. Food was delicious, the crabs are a nice size for this time of the year. Cozy diner environment with extremely friendly staff. The establishment is very cute, vibrant, easy to read food menu.
This place is always buzzing & I’ll be back soon.

I heard about Blue Claw from my stylist/nail tech. As a lover of seafood (crabs especially) I decided to give them a try. After my nieces recital in NJ, I drove 30 minutes away from home to get a taste of some garlicky, buttery crabs. At first I thought I would dine in, but I decided to take out. Service was great. As a first timer, I wasn’t quite sure the direction to go, but the cashier gave me the perfect items to choose from.
I got 1/2 a dozen blue crabs with a seasoning combo (garlic, crab spice, and Norman’s) and veggie combo (broccoli, corn and potatoes). When I got home I got right into it. I enjoyed the crabs, a bit over cooked, perhaps because they were medium in size, but the flavor was there. I’d definitely go back.
