This was the first time visiting for us. This place has been recommended to us by family numerous times, but we just haven’t had the opportunity until now. They have a nice selection of draught beers and cocktails and the food menu was fairly large. I had the Texas Chicken Cheese Steak with fries and my wife had the Wild Wild West Burger with onion rings. We ordered a Tasty Twister Braided Pretzel for an appetizer. The quality of food was excellent. We will definitely visit again.

Cozy spot. Great food. Reasonable prices. Had to wait an unusually long time to be seated for lunch on a Saturday without any special events going on, but otherwise everything was excellent.

Stopped in an hour and 15 mins before posted closing on a Friday night and the bartenders made it clear we were inconveniencing them. They asked us 3 times within 5 mins of arrival if we were ready to order as the kitchen was soon closing. The food was very good, but the bartender told my boyfriend last call on drinks before our plates even arrived. Another couple arrived and they were also greeted with the same impatience and rushed out. It was an uncomfortable, rushed, unwelcoming experience. I was unable to enjoy the good food as chairs were being put up around me, the mopping cleanser ruining my appetite, I will choose another establishment in the future.

I’m only giving 2 stars based on our previous experiences here and our wonderful waitress. I called a week before to make reservations for my son’s birthday dinner. The girl I spoke to on the phone was extremely short with me and rude. I requested a table near the fireplace she said “I’ll make a note” when we arrived we were taken to a table in a tiny room with a huge party of 15 people and us. Literally no other tables in this tiny space. I felt like we were intruding on a private party the whole time. The group was loud (no fault of their own!). I will say our waitress was phenomenal and the food was good but we have told our adult children how amazing this place is and this felt far from it. When I got up to go to the bathroom the back room had many open tables not sure why we were jammed in a room with a private party! Fine if I’m eating at McDonald’s but not for the price you pay here. We will definitely think twice before returning!

The food was very good. The service at the table was great. My niece went to the bar to get drinks, she ask for a specific whiskey. I watched as the bartender poured a different whiskey and served it to her. I questioned the bartender about what she had served. By her response, she didn’t think there was a problem with serving something different from what was ordered. There was no apology or acknowledgement of a mistake. I wonder if our other drinks had the requested alcohol???

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for a cozy, memorable evening. A real fire crackled in the stone fireplace in the lounge, and we were ushered into a charming stone dining room that felt like stepping back in time. The building itself clearly carries history — I actually had to duck slightly to pass through the low stone archway leading to our table. It added to the character and intimacy of the space.

We started with the tuna tartare, which was a standout. I’m “that aunt” in the family — the one who encourages the kids to try new things — and this dinner was my monthly outing with my nephew. So yes, raw tuna hit the table. It turned out to be the perfect introduction. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and approachable, it made trying something new feel effortless. A total win.

He ordered chicken nuggets, and while that might sound simple, they were clearly house-made, fresh-cut, and thoughtfully prepared. For chicken nuggets, they were excellent.

My scallops, unfortunately, didn’t quite land for me. The accompanying preparation felt overly complex and ended up overpowering the natural delicacy of the scallops. That said, the menu offers plenty of other intriguing options, and I’d absolutely return to explore more.

Service throughout the evening was kind, attentive, and prompt — exactly what you hope for during a relaxed dinner out.

Overall, a warm, character-filled spot with standout starters and welcoming staff. Looking forward to the next visit.

We stopped at the Blue Bird Inn during Happy Hour for drinks and a light meal and had a very good experience. The Happy Hour was excellent in terms of offering 1/2 off a large selection of appetizers and cocktails, and a slightly reduced price on beers. The atmosphere was warm and inviting featuring a large functional (gas) fireplace in the bar area dining room.

I have never seen or eaten anything worse. My husband was served a burnt meatloaf covered with an egg. Unsweetened tea that was two years old . The tea was simply rotten. Horrible! Crazy prices and there were no vegetables. If you want a salad, you will have to pay at least $7. And for all this we paid much more than any steak house. +20% tip. Are you okay?

Nice rustic look and decoration. Has a statue of Jack Daniels at the corner.

+++ Wild Wild West Burger, Elk, Bison, Wagyu, Wild Boar Burger on Brioche Roll (burger medium rare done just right, meat with very little gamy taste and was tender, very good, kind of pricey but a must-try!)
Substitute French Fries for $2.50 (not much, just okay, not worth it)

+ New England Seafood Roll, Lobster | Crab | Shrimp | Baby Spinach | Sweet Corn Aioli on Split Top Roll (not very big, with enough meat, taste okay)
Served with Seasoned House Chips (a little hard, taste okay)

– No dinner rolls (disappointed)

It was great first experience stopping here for dinner. The food was excellent, had tons of flavor and decent portion size even for the price. The service and bartender was good on the outside deck and overall a great time!
