Great food on their main dishes. I love crab, the crab cakes -broiled- was wonderful!!! Not a lot of filler and broiled so warm all the way through. Hubby had filet and it was pink red, which is what he likes. Blue cheese crumbles was skimpy, though he did not complain. Broccoli was grilled-excellent. We did not sit inside the tavern so we missed the ambience.

Coming on a sunny Sunday..the place was packed. We elected to sit at tge bar. The bar tender…she was very entertaining…even with about 15 customers at the outside bar, she was struggling, she had ro leave the bar to get beer from the inside and could have used a runner fro clean glasses since she kept running out. Even this is beyond her control, she made the best of it and wr never had the feeling to be forgotton…hat off to the woman…who stayed so positive during a stressful time. Tge menu is different than most bar menus, this place adds a nice flair to the food. The seefood potato skins where excellent, nice tasting seafood salad, with real nice pieces. The burger was nice with a spicy sauce, also some nice variation of the plain burger. A nice beer selection completes this nice place. If you are close or like to make a trip, please visit this place and enjoy the outside multi tier deck…..however the inside is amazing as well…

First timers…, not that we never wanted to try coming here. We tried many times…this time we were smart and made a reservation! Now we understand why it was always full when we stopped. The food was amazing. Excellent service. Definitely will be going back! The picture below is Marina-nara; Black and blue steak, baked potato and spinach risotto. (Just a note…I asked for bread with my pasta, and they accommodated).

Love that they have happy hour every day. I did get charged for something that I did not receive, but I plan to call about that. The place is awesome and the food is awesome. Like most places of a historic nature, it was not the most handicap accessible, but they really did try. The hosts and the serving staff were lovely.

I will say this place is amazing and has taken great care to ensure enough seating both inside and outside for the patrons. I was seated right away after being asked if I wished to sit inside or outside. I chose outside, and my husband joined me. The staff is amazing. I would only say one thing that was constant throughout the whole meal is that it lacked seasoning. I would have enjoyed the potato skins and the main meal if it was seasoned more. The food was great with just the minor input above.

We loved our experience on the deck at the bar last evening. I liked that they tried to put a spin on the usual bar food that everyone else is serving. The band Acoustic Stew was pretty good too! I didn’t see that they had a seafood macaroni and cheese so that gives me something to try next time.

We have been going to the Blue Bird for years. We love the wait staff, the atmosphere and the lovely outdoor seating. The entertainment is also great. The food I really good as well, until now. I think it was the owner, don’t quote me on that, who decided to get this cute little fry baskets to put their fries in. Lovely idea but they hold about 10 fries. Now that would be fine if you weren’t charging me for an order of fries with my meal but they are. We asked the server and she said she has gotten lots of complaints but this seems the way it’s going to be.
