Blue Atlas is hands down one of my favorite spots in Richmond. Every time I go, I’m reminded why I love it so much. The flavors are incredibly authentic! You can truly taste the care and quality in every bite.
Their falafel wrap is honestly the best in the Richmond area. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside, and paired with the freshest toppings – it’s just chef’s kiss. And the chai tea latte? It tastes just like real Indian chai. As someone who grew up drinking chai, that’s not easy to impress but they nailed it.
The ambience is beautiful, especially on a sunny day. Sitting outside with a view, enjoying good food and a warm drink, feels like a little escape. The service is always top-notch..friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Blue Atlas is a whole experience, not just a meal

Blue Atlas is a standout spot in Richmond. It’s located in an old schoolhouse overlooking the city, with a beautiful and modern interior. The food is superb, with a changing seasonal menu and farm-to-table approach. Dishes are shareable. I recommend 2 dishes per person. My friends and I shared the mezze platter and butternut squash with sunchokes. I also ordered the carne Asada for myself (tender meat, perfectly cooked, with a silky cauliflower puree and smoky chili sauce on top) and my friends ordered the bao buns.
The food was inventive, layered with flavor, and plated beautifully. I haven’t had food this good in a while. Definitely out of the ordinary. I also appreciated the wide variety of gluten-free and celiac-safe options! My friend who is vegan also had a lot of choices.
I highly recommend Blue Atlas for a nice dinner with friends or a celebratory evening. I will be back!

Fantastic food and vibes all around! The patio area is beautiful and we saw the most gorgeous sunset. Can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu. The drink specials were a great recommendation! Shoutout to our server, Lilian (hope I spelt it right) 🙂 she was awesome! The only thing I’d say is that there were a lot of babies around (including one in our group) and it’d be nice to have a changing table in the bathroom!

Yes, it is worth the hype. Yes it is expensive, but it is still very worth it. Small plates/tapas style but with multiple cuisines from around the world. I would recommend 2-3 plates per person. We had the Pork Belly Bao, the Georgian Flatbread, Lamb Shawarma, and Pierogis. Everything was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. I appreciated the small details added to each dish that enhanced it. The only critique I have is that the portion of lamb for the lamb shawarma is pretty tiny, especially for sharing. I wish this was a larger portion, especially for the price. But it was still delicious. For highlights – The Georgian Flatbread is like eating a bread version of carbonara in all the best ways. The pork belly on the bao melts in your mouth.

Also celebrated my first anniversary with my boyfriend here. This was our second time coming here, the first was Valentines Day and we instantly fell in love. Had to come back for the harissa cauliflower. The service was amazing, they upgraded us to a table, and all the servers were so wonderful. I could write essays about how good the food was but honestly nothing will beat tasting it yourself. Can’t wait to go again!

Lovely little breakfast market. Sweet potato sage latte, breakfast sliders and a view of the city. The pastries looked amazing and my partner loved the breakfast burrito. The outdoor space looks nice and we have to come back!

We did not know at the time we made reservations it was vegan take over; so we were skeptical. But good grief it was one of the best meals we have ever had. How did they do that? If this is vegan sign us up. The vegan meal was proof that this kitchen staff knows how to cook. The venue is modern, upscale, and with great service to match. Dine indoors or outdoors and be taken care of and served some great cuisine. This was not just food.

My husband, Justin, and I hosted our wedding welcome dinner here last November, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, Rachel and Abby went above and beyond to make the evening so special, helping us curate everything from the appetizers, dinner, and dessert menu to crafting custom cocktails (named after our dogs!!!) and thoughtfully arranging the space. Their team was an absolute joy to work with—so professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our night perfect. Our friends and family are still raving about the incredible food, space, and service. It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend, and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Delicious! Also makes for a great study spot. There is seating both outdoors, under a patio, and indoors, with plenty for both. Their food was fantastic. Coffee is from Blanchards and also great.
