This restaurant claims to be upscale but besides the atmosphere, it’s far from that. The hostess was extremely pleasant and quickly sat us. Initially, it took over 10 minutes for us to be greeted by our server. There looked to be 2 servers on the floor (each with maybe 3-4 tables a piece), 1 bartender (probably 7-8 bar guests plus drink orders from the servers), 1 bus boy (who was strictly cleaning tables), and the hostess (who was pulling triple duty by seating, running food, assisting with grabbing things for the servers, etc).
We ordered bar drinks and a few appetizers. Before we received our drinks, the appetizers hit the table within 5 minutes. Chips/salsa/guac and crab cakes. Now I don’t have the most refined palette, but something tells me all the apps came straight off a truck (YES, even the crab cakes. Even though we were RIGHT next to the ocean).
Entree wise, my wife ordered a pizza and I ordered the “BOOM BOOM shrimp tacos”. There was no boom with the tacos and the pizza was par at best. The sauce on the tacos was alright though.
In conclusion, besides the subpar service and not fresh seafood, they were out of quite a few menu items. The Margarita pizza, specific bar drinks, etc just to name a few. I couldn’t help but think that this place DESPERATELY needs a visit from John Taffer and the crew from Bar Rescue….1 out of 5 would not recommend! But I was a server in my younger days, so I’d never leave an establishment without tipping. ‍♂️

I don’t know what was worse. The food or the service! they greeted us as soon as we got there, which was nice. They seated us at a table right away. It wasn’t busy. That should have been my first thought

The waiter came over, and he was amazingly friendly. Although he didn’t seem to know the menu as well as he should

My wife got the chicken club, and she said that the chicken tasted funny, and it had a strange smell to it, so i’m assuming it was bad

I opted for mai fish tacos, and they were horrible. They tasted extremely fishy and overcooked. So much to the point where I barely ate any of it. The french fries were good, I’ll give him that

Our waiter came to the table and took our order. And that was the last time we saw him. We never got any refills on water or beverages

I certainly would not go back even if it were free

Service was extremely slow and the restaurant was not busy at all. They only had one waitress, not her fault but please staff accordingly. We ordered appetizers and they came out at the same time as our meal. The food runner who brought our food, sat it down then came back after we started eating to ask if we accepted another persons food. (WHAT?!) The meal itself was far from good. We got an app & two entrees and the cost was $95.00. Overall, it was overpriced and not worth it.

The only good thing about this meal was our server. It took forever to get a table, even though there were many available. Salad was wilted and the grilled chicken was so thin and overcooked that it was like jerky. Fries were all cold. Burgers were very mediocre. We just wanted a quick decent dinner after traveling all day. Disappointing for a Hilton

Great place for a very nice dinner after a long day at the pools/beach. The menu was great, the daily specialties were awesome and they have great drink choices. The staff was very nice. I absolutely loved the place. Loved the coconut shrimp appetizer! A must if you go. The filet was ordered medium and cooked perfectly.

I had a great time at the Blue Bar and Restaurant at the Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa! The burger was delicious, and the gluten-free bun was top-notch—a perfect option for those with dietary needs. The crab bisque was another highlight: rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, topped with generous lump crab meat. The drinks were on point, too! This place is a fantastic late-night spot, especially when you’re hanging out on vacation. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

My wife and I came in late and it was still open. We were seated quickly. Seating was quaint and comfortable. Server was prompt and nice. When the food came they forgot to give us silverware and had to track down a waiter. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was to have smoked ham, pork belly, pickles, and spicy mustard with melted swiss cheese. My sandwich had a small slice of ham, and more cheese then meat and that’s all….it was a snack for a child at best. My wife had the Shrimp and grits this meal was dinner size and was exactly as described and was delicious…I tried asking about my sandwich and was told it was correct though the server had a hard time understanding what I was trying to ask.

The meal was great for the most part. Until I ordered what I wanted to go. The avocado toast barely had avocado on it. They should call it hummus toast because there was even a complete half of an avocado on it. I love avocado and it was very disappointing. $18 dollars for 4 slices of avocado is ridiculous.

This place has too many negative reviews. Our waitress was so attentive and nice and the bartender came to my table to see if I liked my cocktail. The food was great for a hotel lunch and prices were fine!

Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else. Waiter could barely understand us. Made sure he understood we were ordering a Filet SteakMedium Rare. It still came out well done with a ceaser salad that had no dressing. Sent the steak back but had to wait 5 minutes for manager to come see the steak at the table. Took another 30 minutes for it to come back and it was well done again. Just dealt with it at that point. No one checked to make sure it came out right or seemed to care. Would not eat here again.
