I went there there in the mid-afternoon to pick up a Lunch Tray. It was not busy at all at that hour (although there were more people than would normally be eating at a restaurant at that hour). Everything went smoothly. There was a parking spot in the lot and the food was ready and waiting for me. I quickly paid and got it home to eat. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious. The BBQ sauce is very good. I got some of the mild and some of the spicy. The brisket was too salty but still tasted good. The hotlinks were nice and spicy and the pulled pork was close to perfection. The sides were all delicious. It says the $160 lunch tray serves 8 but I would say maybe 5 or 6 at the most so beware it is not cheap.

When we got here, we were greeted by welcoming faces. The servers were very attentive and cheerful! The atmosphere was great, with a real at home feel. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich not knowing that they had stopped serving them after lunch. The chef was nice and made an exception for me, and boy was it worth it! It was delicious! I highly recommend stopping here for a bite

It was my first time dinning at Bludso BBQ. I had loaded fries w/ pulled pork it was mouth watering, and let me tell you the atmosphere was great! The service was also great, as well as the employees. I had a party of 9, and we traveled all the way from the Antelope Valley and will definitely return to Santa Monica for Bludso’s BBQ. Thank you to a wonderful staff!

Barbecue had solid smokey flavor and was overall decent. It wasn’t piping hot when it got to our table unfortunately. They are going through some growing pains. The biggest disappointments were the laziness + inexperienced customer service (we were sat on a corner that required the waiter to walk a few extra steps to get to our table but he and the server opted to lean over another table to pass us our foods and hovered over me when I was selecting the tip amount) and value you get (high prices but small servings).

I wanted to love it. $4 to park! Tiny food. Big price. I dont think they cook here. No smell, no smoke. Staff was nice. Boutique food. Baby blues way better. Way too expensive for quality and price

I was happy to see that they have valet parking even at lunchtime. We walked in and got seated at the last available table at 12:05. The lunch specials are a tremendous bargain. You get a sandwich, 2 sides and a drink for under $20. The baked beans are a little sweet and a little spicy. The Mac & cheese is excellent and the collard greens are made with turkey neck meat but were a bit bland. The tea doesn’t have much flavor either. The brisket is tender and perfectly smoked. The hot link is the best I have had in years. I suggest getting the brisket and hot link sandwich. It’s enormous and tasty. The place was packed and with food this good and prices this low, it’s no mystery. They have a full bar too.

The smell instantly hit us when we walked in, couldn’t wait. Then we were greeted by Kyle who was an amazing server, he explained everything on the menu and even mentioned the history of how this place came to be. The brisket was soft and tasty, fries seasoned gracefully and mac & cheese was soft and gooey! Corn bread was okay, maybe a little dry but overall the vibe, server and food was amazing. Highly recommend to everyone to come here.
