We finally were able to come try this great restaurant. We’ve always noticed how nice it looks from the outside as we’ve driven by. What took us so long!!! We came for an early New Year’s Eve dinner. Our service by Cole was friendly and efficient. The portions are generously huge and very well priced. We started with delicious French Onion Soup-lots of bubbly cheese. The entrees were just as good. The Braised Short Ribs were melt in your mouth tender—-huge portion with mashed potatoes and asparagus too. Had to take half of it home. The Scallop& Shrimp Puttanesca was a giant portion as well. The gnocchi was delicious in the dish too. So glad we decided to splurge and have dessert. Cole made great recommendations. The peanut butter pie was AMAZING! You have to get it when you come. We also got the banana cream pie—my husband really enjoyed it. I’m a chocolate person so I preferred the peanut butter pie. Make sure to make a reservation. Highly recommend- great food and a great value.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice to have my daughter & future son in law’s wedding rehearsal dinner at this wonderful restaurant. From the point of initial contact for inquiry Chas was forthcoming and accommodating. He always responded throughout the planning process and made everything easy for us. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive!! The FOOD!!!! Everything was Ahhmazing!! The family style appetizers and entrees were all delicious and generous portions and the chocolate cake dessert was rich and creamy and a perfect ending to an awesome meal!!! I do not hand out great restaurant reviews unless they are well deserved. And we will definitely come back to this restaurant!! Our guests all raved over the food, and everyone had an enjoyable evening. Thank you so much to all of the staff who made this special evening a wonderful gathering for our family. My only regret is that I didn’t get more pictures!

If you want a fantastic meal outside of the bustle of Princeton, try Blooming Grove Inn. The short rib, duck, flank steak, mussels and cocktails are all topnotch, and we were happy to find a great Malbec, Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc on their wine list. They have a very reasonable fixed price option that included an app, salad and entree, and they’ve also begun promoting fixed price takeout meals. The house-like setting is elegant yet cozy, and we’ve found it to be quiet enough to actually have a conversation! We’ve also been here for tasting menus and other events where the vibe was more energetic. This week there was a singer/guitarist playing till around 7:30. Enjoy!

After passing the restaurant many times, and seeing the neat outside area and mansion like setting I decided to give it a try. The inside has a few dining areas and a nice bar and bar area (which was packed). We were seated by a faux fireplace on the cold night so that was nice. The menu is pretty straight forward. The night we went they had all you can eat prime rib! Drinks were good. The lobster bisque was velvety and delicious. The shrimp cocktail could have had more or larger shrimp for the $18 price tag. The tuna was ok. The prime rib was very good and perfectly cooked. The piece was big (10 or 12oz). That along with a salad, baked potato and veg, I did not have a second portion. Service was good. Could have had water and drinks filled a few more times…but overall fine. May go back for the happy hours and the outside patio.

Nestled just off rt.29 north of Trenton, the Blooming Grove Inn is a lovely restaurant with a welcome front terrace for outdoor seating. Brick and hardwood floors greet you on entering. Staff is polite, prompt, and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxing and warm for quiet and relaxing meals. Cocktail bar and bottle beers with plenty of options. Happy hour with reduced price appetizers and cocktails. Entrees are lovely and well prepared. Desserts are elegant and indulgent. Recommend bringing cash over card (theres a 3% charge for card purchases). For the local patrons, this is a perfect alternative to Erini with the same quality of food and beverage.
Will continue to patron this place in the future!

Our first time visiting and for sure not our last. From appetizers to meal and dessert everything was tasty. Best buffalo wings in the area. My pork chop cooked to perfection with an amazing mashed potatoes with caramelizada onions and bacon. Thanks Cole for your super friend service.

Updated review: Tonight’s dining experience was a total 180 from the experience we had a few weeks ago.
Service was extremely slow, my cocktail was watered down and our waiter never acknowledged it or apologized for his inattentiveness to our table. We were with friends and I was embarrassed sadly.
Excellent local restaurant! It’s hard to believe that we’ve never eaten there before.
Delicious food and Hope our waitress was great. Would love to try other menu items.

Pricy but worth it. Food is fantastic with seasonal rotation and staple favorites. Mixed drinks are also really good. Owner is often on the floor or behind the bar helping out. Highly recommend.

First time here. Excellent service. Chicken parm was really good. Meatball app was good too. Our other people enjoyed the duck. Reasonable prices and a 3 course option is available for just $38. Very close to the TRE airport. Nicely decorated.
