It’s a very good dining experience. I found it very successful in steak. The cooking condition and softness of the meat was great. The spicing was not exaggerated and ideal. I asked for yoghurt dressing for the salad they brought before the meal and I LOVED it. The potatoes that came with the meat were cooked very well. The toast that came with the meat was very tasty. The prices are reasonable for such a restaurant. I recommend it!

The food was delicious! The service this time was not so good. The server wasn’t attentive at all. We sat with our plates after we finished eating for a good 15 minutes before they were cleared even though she walked by the table quite a few times seemingly with nothing to do. After she finally cleared the plates and we turned down the desert, she disappeared from the dining room, after 20 minutes or so, we had to go to the bar and ask for our check, which was brought by another server.

We tried the sirloin platter – steak, french fries and coleslaw sauce; the Mrs Rumpsteak – steak, boiled potato and garden salad and the green potato – grilled vegetables, boiled potato, sour cream. The vegetables were fresh and seasoned well. We had asked for the meat to be well done but it had a bitter aftertaste.

Came here a second time with a friend who insisted ordering the right dish is key. The open beef burger was perfectly cooked, the sauce adding the perfect amount of kick. The baked potato with the sour cream was good. The grilled lamb steak was medium done, for those who prefer it that way, it was excellent.

Conveniently located just next to the train station, the Block House is a place that specialises in steaks. Naturally, the steaks are the star of the place, and they are perfectly done to your preferred wellness. At medium rare, the Hereford ribeye was succulent and melted in your mouth. Many of the steaks also come with a healthy portion of salad. Service was friendly and polite, while the place had a warm and cosy feel. The place has a English menu, and the servers can converse fluently in English.

Located in what appears to be a bustling tourist district in downtown Stuttgart, the Block House steakhouse comes through. I found the food to be good and the prices to be reasonable. I was not impressed with the service – lackluster at best – but that seems to be common here in Stuttgart.
I had the Barbecue Steak Teller from the American Bistro section of the menu. It was a good cut of meat properly cooked. The fries were perfect. It came with a ramekin of BBQ sauce. I also ordered a side of Teriyaki-Pfefferrahm-Sauce which was ok, but didn’t seem to have any hint of teriyaki that I could notice.
It was good and affordable so I’ll definitely return. Probably not on a Friday or Saturday night though. It gets busy.

I went for a quick bite, and although it is not cheap, it was money well spent. Amazing steak (fillet mignon), nice salad, good service. Can definitely recommend the place!

A typical Block House branch. Easy access (outside the Hauptbahnhof metro station). As always with Block House and most other steak houses in Germany, the grilling is always a bit on the heavy side (the medium rare T-bone I ordered was once more a clear medium). The meats used are mainstream fare (nothing exquisite), so the prices are also kept at reasonable levels. Several good wine options by the glass. Decent option for a meat crave, but not more.
