Love our neighborhood Italian restaurant. Always delicious food with great, friendly service. My husband and I go here frequently and we always have a good experience. Especially on Valentine’s evening – we walked in, got seated and served quickly, we had a very good meal.

This place was near my apartment so I would always get takeout whenever I was craving NY-style Italian food. Never disappointed. Super friendly and food was quickly prepared. They have a bunch of vegetarian options. Parking is easy too.

My wife and I have enjoyed several meals over the years here, both as a couple on date night and with visitors from out-of-town. It’s been our go-to Italian restaurant, since it is close to home and we like to support mom & pop operations.
Sadly, something has changed. The sanitation rating is now 97.0 and there’s a note stating they are “hiring servers” on the front window/door.
Last two visits were for take out: The first time, the rosemary rotisserie chicken was tasty but a little dry, and the mashed potatoes tasted odd and had the consistency of instant, not “homemade” as advertised. Though I strongly dislike wasting food, I ended up throwing the rest away.
Tonight, my wife is recovering from being sick and wanted comfort food: the “homemade” chicken noodle soup. So I made a special trip for it. First, to be fair, the chicken was ample, but a little stringy. Second, there were no noodles; instead there was spaghetti and something round like penne. Third, there weren’t any vegetables and it tasted like it was made with a bouillon base. Normally chicken soup has onions, celery, and/or carrots. My wife could have made a better soup at home, IF she felt well.
By comparison, Wednesday evening, I visited a local competitor whose chicken soup was far tastier, thicker, and simply better for a comparable price; i.e. better value.
My intent is to give candid feedback, so B.L.L. might regain its standards, quality, value, and retain its customers.

Always good and fresh. My go to for pizza and pasta! Also, the rotisserie special with 2 sides . The garlic knots and homemade marinara sause is always a treat in my home. Customer service is always superb .

We tried this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic. I got the shrimp scampi, my wife tried the cheese ravioli, and we got the arrincini as an appetizer. Everything was wonderful and the service was great. We will absolutely go back

Let me tell you!!! This place has the best rotisserie chicken I have ever eaten. Excellent tenderness and seasoned to perfection. The salad was fresh and crispy clean and the asparagus perfectly cooked. Excellent service also. I highly recommend!

I went with friends. Everything looked delicious. I got a salad with rotisserie chicken, mixed greens, goat cheese, apples, and pecans. It was delicious. A friend got the fried zucchini and shared it. That was delicious also. I will definitely go back

Maria was a phenomenal waitress. We never ran out of drinks, she had great recommendations, and the sweetest personality. I’m hoping we will see her again on our next visit! The food was also amazing.

Very good rotisserie chicken! Never disappoints. Will not want grocery store rotisserie after having theirs. Hidden little gem off Stratford Road, close to Thruway Shopping Center. Sandy is an exceptional waitress! Sorry about the image, I started eating the chicken before I took the picture, it’s THAT good!
