Social Profile:

We source our ingredients for our beer as well as our food as locally and organically as possible. Sometimes we grow it ourselves! Our beer is incorporated in a few of our food recipes. Independently owned and operated, Blind Bat Brewery was established in 2008 as a small part-time operation, we opened our casual Brewery Bistro in 2019. Outdoor seating is available depending on the weather. Our menu features grass-fed beef burgers, organic turkey burgers, house-made organic black bean burgers, house-made pierogi, duck fat fries, duck fat fried chicken sandwiches, a wide variety of soup, and a number of vegetarian and vegan options.

Went to try their microbrews and enjoyed them all, they were delicious! the owner & staff were real friendly. The place is really cool. Didn’t have a chance to eat but the food looked great! Intimate with great music, books, board games.

The grilled vegetables on flatbread is tantalizing. An amazing melding of textures, and tastes that satisfies the taste buds as you savor each bite.

Blind bat was AWESOME! My husband and I have been wanting to go for a while and finally went today to try some beers and pierogi. We each tried several pierogis and they were all so delicious and had us craving more. We also both had flight samples and each beer was great, we especially loved the blonde and hell gate. The staff were super friendly and made you feel like family! Overall, spectacular hidden gem that is going to become a regular go to for us despite the distance. We cannot wait to try more!! Can’t recommend enough

Wow, a small little diamond in the rough, near the golf course on the gold coast of LI. The food was delicious, fresh, organic and served with a smile. The beer was some of the best IPA s I’ve had. The place is coastal, very small, just a few tables. A great takeout place for food and beer. It’s more of a take out restaurant than a sit in restaurant. Go check them out, we used our Habitat for Humanity card. Tell ’em Barsnobs sent ya!

Had some great beer and food here. My friends and I have always wanted to try blind bat and we were not disappointed. We each did tastings of all brews on tap and each beer was excellent. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and just the right portion size. We shared a pretzel and onion things which were both really good. The chicken sandwich was definitely one of the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Can’t believe we’ve waited this long to try Blind Bat! We’ll definitely be back again.

Kind of a bummer and I’m sad to write potentially their first negative review.

The good:
The beers. We had the stout and the hefeweizen.
Sustainability. They use compostable plates, cups, utensils. Their veggies are organic.

The bad:
Visually, it struggles with an identity. Bright blue floors and tiles clash with plastic bats stuck to the ceiling. No other bats in sight! I ordered some guacamole and was told they were making ‘a fresh batch just for me.’ I was happy to know it would be extra fresh. Unfortunately, I got chopped avocado mixed with garlic and onions but missing the tomatoes described on the menu. He then took a precooked and pre-portioned mac and cheese from the window to heat up for my entree. My husband ordered a smash burger with cheese and some oven fried potatoes. My mac was very small for $9.50. My husband’s burger patty was small enough to be served on an English muffin and the side of macaroni salad was exactly 1 forkful. They forgot to add cheese. They forgot about our potatoes. The server informed us “there was a communication issue.”
I really want to like this place but there’s a lot that needs improvement.

On our first vacation after COVID-19 we wanted to try something new. We landed upon the Blind Bat Bistro and Brewery in Centerport LI. The beers (from porter to IPL) are good, but the food is amazing! If you don’t try the Pickle-Brined Beer-Battered Duck-Fat Fried Chicken Sandwich, you are denying yourself an exquisite delight! Beer-Braised Curly Hot Dog was a also winning choice. The dining area is small with a few tables outside as well. Service from Paul (the brewer, if I am not mistaken) was excellent. We really look forward to our next visit

Flights. Were insanely good. U ever hit up a spot where each flight taste properly unique and significant enough to actually stop and relish each in their own way? They had that! Had the “first 4”. Never tried a potato stout before. Yum.

Pretzel/pierog thing, pretzel (way more taste than a typical pub pretzel, bit sweet NOT sugary), and the jackfruit sammy.

Again not looking up the menu for exact names sorry but all fantastic. Followed up with a pint of the beach blonde.

Space is sweet. Grabbed the nice nook. Books to page and lots of local CSA, farm stand, bird/wildlife pamphlets to check out.

I’m so happy we spotted this on our “near me” search and stopped by. Wish I was back tomorrow (SUN) for the pierogi.

Also good music and awesome peeps running the place.
