First Visit (Dec 13 – VIP Experience, 4⭐):
My first visit was for my niece’s 21st birthday celebration. She had paid $600+ for a VIP lounge section, so our expectations were understandably high. I arrived about 30 minutes later than planned. A server initially came over but then disappeared without taking our order. Nearly 20 minutes passed before she returned to take drink orders, and then we waited an additional 25–30 minutes without receiving drinks. At this point, everyone is complaining and her guest is leaving to go to the bar. I expressed my concerns to the server and requested to speak with a manager. I was told the bar was backed up. The owner/manager eventually came over, and I want to commend her for being very polite, professional, and receptive. I explained that since VIP is a paid premium service, it should be treated as a priority—especially when it comes to drink and food service. To her credit, the owner kept her word. After our conversation, service immediately improved. The waitress became attentive, our drinks arrived quickly, and the food followed shortly after.
Second Visit (Dec 26 – 1⭐):
This visit was extremely disappointing due to poor customer service. We seated ourselves and waited 25–30 minutes without being acknowledged. The person I was with had to get up and find a staff member just to figure out who was supposed to be serving us.
When the waitress finally came, she seemed disorganized. She took our order, then returned about 10 minutes later saying her payment device reset and she needed to take the order again. We provided our orders again without further issue. The food and drinks arrived within 20 minutes and were excellent—no complaints there.
However, after the food was dropped off, the waitstaff checked in twice then the service completely disappeared. For roughly 50 minutes, the waitress never checked on us, never asked if we needed anything else and never brought the check. Jokingly, I even told the person I was with that if we were the type of people who would leave without paying, we easily could have done so and been home before anyone noticed—that’s how long she was gone.
Meanwhile, we observed her spending extended periods near the kitchen area socializing closely with a man and repeatedly stepping away, rather than attending to her tables or checking on customers.
Ironically, the food runner provided better service than our actual waitress—she was kind, attentive, and helpful. The person I was with even tipped her $20 just for her customer service. We eventually had to ask her to find our waitress so we could pay.
After finally paying, I requested a physical receipt, The waitress said “OK” , she then proceeded to cash out the other person at the table. She came back several minutes later to collect the dishes and without the receipt. When I reminded her again, she said OK and walked away. She later came back asking if I had ordered items I did not order. At that point, I was frustrated and told her not to worry about the receipt anymore because I was ready to go. I left without a receipt, hoping the charges were correct.
With an 18% gratuity automatically applied, the level of service we received was unacceptable. Had the waitress been attentive, she likely would have received additional gratuity.
Final Thoughts:
Bleu Melody Lounge is a beautiful spot with great food, strong drinks, and a fun atmosphere, but poor waitstaff service can completely overshadow that. Management made a positive difference during my first visit, so I recommend managers actively check in on tables and gather feedback in real time. I truly want to support this black business, but customer service must improve.

For the sports watchers have no fear there were TVs on every wall so that you would not miss one play. For the music lovers there was a live DJ that arrived after 9.
First time visitor wont be my last tome visit.

The Ribeye was my personal favorite, and my company loved the pasta — both were a solid 10 out of 10. If you’re looking for a fun, laid-back spot with great energy, this is definitely the place to be.
