This is one of our local fav’s. Great value, fair price and friendly staff. We’ve been going here for over a decade with friends, family and just us. I had the Texas Heat burger and my wife had the Spicy Black Bean Burger. We also enjoyed the onion petals which are great and you’d hope if they have onion in the name, that they would be great, and they definitely are! Sweet potato fries are very good as well! We would frequent this place at least once or twice a month, however unfortunately we won’t be back. Shrinkflation has crept into the menu, especially the salads (what used to be the half-size is now the full size). The quality also seems to have taken a hit. The price of course did not adjust accordingly, which is extra tough to swallow at $10/pint beer prices already over the normal. We were there on Presidents Day during dinner time and I think we were the only people in the entire place.
Service is consistent in the bar and the place seems well organized, but with the recent changes I do not see many customers taking it well…

They have a great menu, and we’re able to accommodate my wife’s food allergies! Very friendly staff and clean. It’s interesting how you place your order right when you walk in. They then give you a number and you find a table. Fast food mixed with sit down restaurant. Or, go to the bar side and place your food order over there.

Service was great. 5 orders placed. 4 came first & were cold. Cold burgers, cold fries. Had to wait another 5 plus minutes for the last meal.We were early for dinner so it was not busy at all. So, not like the kitchen was swamped.

Honestly, this place feels familiar and comfortable every time I stop in. The food is consistently good, and the service at the bar is always warm and welcoming. With fast‑food prices being what they are, this is a far better value and a much more enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a cozy, homey atmosphere to relax and unwind.

Every Friday night, we take our kids to open swim, and afterward we put our PJs on and roll up to the Blazing Onion for a fast, giant meal before bedtime. This place treats us like long-lost family, even though we look like wet rats in pajamas every time. The fried pickle appetizer comes lightning-fast and hits just perfect when you’ve been exercising. The kids menu is on point. Every sandwich I’ve tried has been great. I always get a side caesar salad instead of the fries, which comes in the cutest little bowl and has the perfect ratio of dressing to lettuce. I also love that they have nutrition facts for EVERY DISH published online so that I know what to eat to hit my macros. While scarfing all the food, the kids like drawing with crayons, the hubby likes watching the sports, and we also read the Tribune together (available at the counter for free) and put local events on our family calendar. The open-swim-plus-PJs-plus-Blazing-Onion combo is honestly my favorite part of our weekly routine. Give it a try!

We have been come here a few times. I have yet to write a review as I was hoping things would improve. First thing I’d like to talk about is the food. The food is very inconsistent. One day very good, and the next day absolutely horrible. If you are looking for consistantcy don’t come here. Second thing I’ve seen is disconnect between staff and upper management. They have come out to talk to us about our meal, and have said they’ll take care of us , but than the server will say something else. They really need to come together, and stick with one plan. The third problem I have is high turn over. We come in 1 day with excellent service, and come back a week later, and it’s new service with pore manors, and a bad attitude. We had a really good time with our cocktail server Sara, and when we came back we asked for her again. They informed me she was no longer with them, so we took whoever they gave us.The servers attitude was very hostile,I don’t want to be here attitude. She never smiled at all throughout our meal, and didn’t bring us our drinks. When we reminded her we had ordered cocktails she rolled her eyes, and said she’d go get them. I politely told her not to worry about it, and that is why I’m saying something here. I will no longer support this restaurant. I don’t like highschool drama when I’m trying to enjoy my meal.

This was a pretty good time. We had a party of 14 and they did a good job of taking care of us. I think I prefer the order at your table rather than this order on entry and delivery. Also they only had one soda machine and the wait was long. Over all they delivered the food very fast and did a good job of busing. I would go here again. Oh and the caramel sea salt shake was very good.
