I think I have a new favorite BBQ spot now!
Everything we ordered was delicious. The ribs and mac and cheese were fantastic. And to my surprise the turkey breast was amazing! So happy they moved into the neighborhood. Can’t wait to see what they do for brunch!

New BBQ and Beer Cart! The food was delicious and creative; tender meats and fresh sides. The attached Beer Cart had a great selection of beer, cider, and other drinks. The folks running everything were friendly and welcoming. We are really exited to have this place in the neighborhood!

Food is always delicious and the servings are big. I love the Grits and potato salad!! I tried the deviled eggs for the first time and also enjoyed them. Can’t go wrong with this spot for a really tasty meal!

What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Blasphemy is offering top quality bbq with a dash of Korean fusion that sets it apart. The smoked meats are the star of the menu, of course. So far I’ve tried the pulled pork, turkey, ribs, and jalapeno cheddar sausage, and literally all of them were delicious. I intend to try everything eventually, but I find myself coming back to the pulled pork sandwich, and for good reason. The pork is perfectly cooked, without an overpowering amount of smoke flavor (too much smokiness is a thing for me). The slaw is fresh, crisp, and delicately dressed. The star ingredient is the Carolina-gochujong bbq sauce. Tangy vinegar with a touch of heat is a perfect complement to the rest of the sandwich. Sides can be an afterthought at some BBQ places, but not here. The rotating sides are impressive, and surprisingly inventive. My favorites so far are the purple broccoli with peanuts and chili crisp, spring radish kimchee, honey roasted carrots with queso fresco, and the cathead biscuit with sorghum butter. Keep in mind that these sides rotate seasonally, but hopefully one or more of these will be on the menu when you go (and you should definitely go). And oh yeah, the drinks. The draft list is solid. Beer lovers will find something great to complement their meal. I haven’t tried any of the slushy drinks yet, but I can attest to the potency of the jello shots (not my usual thing, but stuff happens). Lastly, I would be remiss in not mentioning Blasphemy’s commitment to sustainability. Everything (utensils, boxes, cups, napkins, etc.) except the wet naps are compostable.

What an amazing asset to our neighborhood! We love the vegetable side dishes. They make a cesar salad that deserves the name. They are seasonal, fresh, and wonderful. The bbq meats are nicely flavored and offered up in several different options. The brisket nachos need a group to finish them off. Can’t say enough about how flavorful the food is. Our favorite cart.

This will place will quickly become a regular spot for me, they’re brand new and everything is already amazing. Had a pulled pork sandwich with slaw, unreal. My partner got a different sandwich, with kimchi collards and it was also PHENOMENAL. Every side they have is killer, never skip the deviled eggs or the banana dessert. The frozen margaritas are dialed in unlike any other place in Portland. Truly a welcome addition, they aren’t doing anything by the books, in the best way possible.

Traveling around America to see all the stuff before we are too old. We are both from Texas (I’m not bragging; it is important to the story.) Got to Portland and decided we needed some BBQ. Got out Google maps to see our options and Blasphemy Barbecue was the closest. Ended up eating the most delicious Portland Barbecue. It’s BBQ but with a little Portland twist! It was so very good.

I’m so excited that the former owners of the American Local took over 2 of the carts in the Flying Tortoise Food Carts! They are pumping out tasty wood smoked barbecue and tasty salad out of 1 cart and yummy beers and slushy margaritas out of the other. As always, the pod is super kid friendly- they even just added a nice tub full of games and chalk for kids and adults. Their cathead biscuits and sorghum butter, salad and pulled pork are a hit with our kids. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been delicious. I’m looking forward to when they start brunch service!!!!!

So stoked to have stumbled across this place in the neighborhood. I had the pulled pork sandwich and the deviled eggs, both were excellent – hefty serving of pork on the sandwich with great smoked flavor, slaw was bright and tangy. Solid tap list too. Everyone working was super friendly. Excited to try more.

Simply amazing. What a great addition to the neighborhood, but once word gets out this place will be more than just a neighborhood spot. Everything is incredible. The meat of course, but also the ceasar is amazing and all the rotating sides as well. Plus dessert is next level. Not to mention the slushy margaritas. And amazing brunch too on sundays that shouldn’t be missed. Quotes from friends we have introduced this place to “wow – this is the best BBQ since I was in Texas”. “That was the best meal I have had from a food cart ever”.
