Now, let’s talk about the food. The catfish was absolutely phenomenal! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to crispy perfection, making it a delightful accompaniment to my drink. I highly recommend trying it!
The highlight of my evening, though, was the custom BLAQUE Old Fashioned. It was expertly crafted and had an amazing balance of flavors—smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. It truly elevated my experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this B-O-B. The combination of great food, exceptional drinks, and a warm atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I will definitely be back!
This spot was on my “radar” to visit because it was highlighted on the reality show, “Love and Marriage Huntsville (LAMH)” The owner of Blaque Cigar Lounge was identified as Marsau, husband of a leading actress in the series.
On the program, the lounge appears larger, sophisticated and well-patronized. When I arrived at/around 11:30a for lunch, the only patron in the venue was ME. Those there were employees(?) engaged in a photo shoot of one or more bottles of alcohol.
Little-to-no attention was paid to me as I walked into the lounge, gazed the surroundings and finally sat down. It was then that a very nice young woman from behind the bar came over and brought me a menu. She offered me something to drink and informed me that no food was available at that time (lunchtime according to the info online) because the chef/cook would not be in until an hour later. Really??
The lounge was in a store-front location; the buildings nearby appeared vacant. The interior was small and cumbersome, the atmosphere dark, the furniture severely oversized and the patio seating/sections had need of cleaning and a good coat of paint.
I was done.
I decided that I had been underwhelmed enough and left.
I returned my glass to the bar attendant and thanked her. Confirmation: situations/places/people are seldom as they appear; especially on television.
I am no longer a viewer of LAMH….and after that visit – for good reason.
