Blanco Cocina + Cantina in Fashion Valley, San Diego, is a must-visit spot for any Mexican food lover! I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and I’m still dreaming about their amazing dishes.

First off, their *Crunchy Sweet Potato Taco* is a game-changer. The combination of crispy taco shell, sweet potato, and fresh toppings is absolute perfection. And don’t even get me started on their *Chicken Tinga Enchililadas* – the chicken is cooked to perfection, and the sauce is rich and flavorful.

But it doesn’t stop there! Their *Chips, Salsa, and Guacamole* are also top-notch. The chips are always fresh, and the salsa has just the right amount of spice. The guacamole is creamy and delicious, with a nice balance of flavors.

The service at Blanco is also worth mentioning. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer questions about the menu.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Blanco Cocina + Cantina for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican dining experience in San Diego. Don’t miss out on this gem!

Very relaxing atmosphere. Trendy and friendly. Food is ok comparing to very authentic Mexican food. For example the queso fundido can be much more tasty if they added chorizo. Plates are small so you can pretty much finish and don’t have to pack. Located on 2nd floor with other restaurants. Very nice place to walk around and shopping also. Parking is very convenient at the parking structure across the restaurants.

Atmosphere and service are 5 stars but the portions are very small for the price point. Food was good but would not come back for the hiked prices. This pic is the avocado Caesar salad (it comes with more of the fried cotija croutons- I had just eaten them.) salad is $24 with skirt steak, $19 if you get the grilled chicken.

Love this spot! They have great options on the happy hour menu, and the staff and atmosphere is really nice. The smash burger was so good I practically inhaled it. 5/5

Great experience at the bar..guided by Frank on a happy hour day (mon-fri 2-4 and Tuesdays, though it gets quite busy Tuesdays). I had a classic margarita which was delicious and the smash burger with fries which was so good! Normally get enchiladas or tacos but the burger did not disappoint. Franks service was great so give him a raise or whatever. He was attentive without being overbearing, made great suggestions, helpful and prompt.

Located in ‘Fashion Valley Mall’ on the 2nd level of the Café Terrace by the AMC. Easy access from and to the parking structures’ top level.
I wanted a good burrito so I stopped here, but ordered take-out this past Saturday at 7 pm. The 2 hostesses were extremely welcoming and friendly. One of them gladly took my order and kept me updated as I waited by their patio. It’s such a beautiful location. Every employee seemed happy to work there which is a sign of good management.
The restaurant is clean with a fun, Latin atmosphere and a nice patio. Full-size bar with happy hour from 2 pm-4 pm weekdays & all day Tuesdays (in the bar area). The food and cocktails looked very appetizing with good presentation.
I ordered their ‘Carne Asada Burrito’ and it tasted super good. It had beans and steak inside, covered with jack cheese and chili sauce. On the side, a side of guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice, and beans. The steak was so tender. We also ordered their ‘Shrimp Fajitas’ which were flavorful. Chips and salsa were included with our meal.
Overall, we had a good experience here and will definitely return to try other menu items and their good-looking cocktails.

Great menu options. I ordered the fish tacos, plenty of fish so I nibbled some before trying to pick up the tortillas since they were so full. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which appears to be a staple in San Diego since its on other SD Mexican food menus. The staff are very welcoming when checking in and I noticed how well they keep the tables cleared when you are finished and after other customers departed. There is also a great outdoor sitting area

Good food.
Drinks are expensive and the food and appetizers came out at the same time.
Feel rushed.
But the food was good!

I got the fish tacos, but I didn’t want to tell the waitress they were raw on the inside because I was too embarrassed to say anything I took it home to try to cook it more myself but I didn’t want to get sick so I threw them away which I was a little bummed about because they were kind of pricey. But it’s a nice environment, I would go again and try something else.
