I went inside the store for online pickup and I was standing there for a few minutes with ZERO help. Me and another man were waiting. No one bothered to say ANYTHING. They were all just standing there looking away from us as if they couldn’t see TWO people standing in the online order pick up line. Very weird customer service with nothing but shy workers. I had to get in the regular line to finally get my order. What’s the purpose of having online orders?

A bit of a disappointing first experience here – we ordered the chicken sandwich, mini burger (added chili), seasoned fries, and a chocolate milkshake.
The chicken sandwich was pretty good, I liked the spicy sauce. The fries were also solid, came out hot and crispy. Milkshake was average.
However the burger was quite disappointing. There was not even enough chili to cover the patty, and given their advertising I was expecting an abundance of chili. The little chili taste that was available was overshadowed by a lottt of mustard.
The service was nice, but the food took a while to come out (10-15mins). The seating area also had no stations with condiments or napkins, so we had to request those at the counter.

Burger is very mid. Double cheeseburger only came with one slice of cheese?? Seasoned fries taste like checkers, nothing special. Price definitely wasn’t worth the poor quality. On top of that, drive thru worker had a lackluster attitude, as did the workers inside. We were waiting for two cheeseburgers and fries around back long enough for about 6 other cars to get their food, just for the burgers to taste dry and terrible. Make it make sense? Maybe it was because we didn’t get the green chile, but either way, a single topping shouldn’t carry the entire sandwhich to the point where it sucks without it. Also, for some reason the bathroom inside has a buzz-in requirement? Very weird and inconvenient.

Local burger spot in Gallup, NM. Not overly expensive or fancy. The New Mexico Burger has 2 patties, cheese, and the hatch green chili’s on top. The chili is the highlight.
The patties are not seasoned very well. The chili spread and grease aren’t seasonings. Just an fyi for the cooks.
It was busy…? Sort of… at 1730 on a Sunday. The place was dirty. No reason for being so dirty. Tables, prep stations, floor… just messy, greasy, not good.
I’d pass on this one unless it’s the only option.

Have wanted to try Blake’s for a very long time, finally had the chance. Got a green chili burger, seasoned fries and shake. An awesome man unexpectedly covered my check, nice surprise. If you read this, thank you sir, made my day! The food was worth the stop, definitely will return, get the green chili burger, seasoned fries and a shake! The staff was hustling, the place was busy, the food was cooked right and hot, came out quick. Locals dining were friendly.

The original (for me) New Mexico, Green Chili Cheese Burger. This was my first one in years and it tasted even better than I remembered. It was clean and fresh as was the whole restaurant! I hope it won’t be so long before I can have one again. ❤️

As good or better than in n out, with a much shorter drive through my line! You can add a hatch chili to anything, burgers are great, also tried the fish burger and it was crispy and delicious

This is my favorite burger joint when in NM. It sure has changed. It looks like the blend of the meat and the size has changed. I like the previous patties better but the dressings stayed the same and I am so grateful for that. I always order my burger with extra lettuce and extra onions because it gives that satisfying crunch to the burger along with a kick of green chili. Their breakfast burritos are the bomb too and I was too hungry to take a pic. Enjoy!
