Fry Bowl!!!!!
Hubby got the Fry Bowl from Black Rock Bbq tonight and it’s a must try! Sooooo good. The fries are perfect as they are slightly crunchy on the outside giving it a nice bite and not a soggy mess. Topped with bbq, sour cream, and we chose pulled pork. Was the star of the night and had us all sneaking bites. The other food was great too, black and blue burger – meat has a great strong smoky flavor and the blue cheese was pungent, and for my bowl I chose a noodle base with pit beef. The meat was great. The sauce was stronger/spicier than I anticipated so I’d probably ask for them to go a bit lighter with it next time, as sorta overwhelmed it and drowned in sauce, going lighter would fix that, but overall very yummy. We also tried the corn bread which came as two muffins that were sweet, very moist, and full of corn bits
Located in the same plaza by the hospital that has Mango, Hummus, Schulas, and antiox.

This was our first trip here and I cannot say enough good things about Blackrock BBQ. This was for my Father’s Day dinner and it did NOT disappoint!
The food was amazing; the portions were great; the service was great and the prices were fair for what you got.
This will be my “go to” restaurant when I’m in the mood for ribs or bbq.
And the owner surprised me with a Father’s Day treat at the end of our meal. 🙂
They will have my business in the future!

I stopped at black rock BBQ in the late afternoon. The store was not busy at the time so we got our food very quickly. We ordered the fry bowl with chicken and sweet BBQ and also a bowl with yakisoba noodles, pulled pork, and sweet/spicy Thai BBQ sauce. The food was all pretty good and the fries had a very satisfying crunch.

My husband and I go about once a week for lunch on a day off. Pork tacos are a must try, as well as the fry bowl, we get it with pit beef but it is also good with pulled pork. The only negative thing I can throw in is the drinks are canned/bottled, our food has always been excellent.

My boyfriend and I stopped by to try out the BBQ here, I’m a HUGE fan of good BBQ. I ordered the fry basket with chicken, sweet BBQ sauce, shredded cheese, sour cream and jalapeños. My boyfriend ordered a bowl with yakisoba noodles, pulled pork, and a sweet and spicy Thai sauce, with veggies. Overall the food and the service was good! The fries were perfectly crunchy, and the Thai sauce on the noodles was perfect. I’ll be back to try different combinations for their bowl option!

It was my first time here, and boy was it delicious. I had the Friday special. It was smoked chicken, fries bbq sauce, cheese, bacon and a few jalapeños on it. The portion was very adequate. The cashier was a very nice woman and the restaurant was clean and tidy. The owner asked me how my food was and she was also very kind. I will be back with family. The picture was after a few bites btw.

If you’re super hungry, want something super fast in a super clean environment, definitely hit up this restaurant. The loaded fries are killer – lots of crispy fries, cheese, fresh jalapeños and your choice of smoked meat. One person definitely can’t finish these alone. We preferred the pork to brisket here, but it’s just our first visit.

I loved this place. It’s ashame I live over an hour away but plan on making it back anyway. I got the pulled pork on top of french fries which would have been loaded except I can’t have dairy. The pork was so tender and the bbq sauce tasty and somehow the french fries stayed crispy.

Was on my way to another restaurant when I saw a sign for BlackRock. My favorite local BBQ joint closed during the pandemic so I wanted to check this place out. $14 for a brisket sandwich, fries, and a can of soda seemed a little pricy. But the fries were perfectly crispy and the sandwich was tasty. It was a little spicy for my sweet and smoky preference, but it offered little resistance to my appetite.
I wish they had fountain sodas because then I could get refills as I tend to drink a lot during my meals. For the majority of the time there was no music playing so the ambience was a little odd, but shortly before I finished they put some country music on.
The attendant at the register was sweet, communicative, and checked on me while I ate my lunch. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some other options like the pulled pork or their bowls, which seem like a better option for those trying to keep the carbs down.
