We ate here with our 2 kiddos and Mommom. Welcomed as we walked in and taken care of throughout our dining. We needed some recommendations and the staff were helpful. 2 of us are gluten free and we were not disappointed by our sandwiches on GF rolls. Usually GF sandwiches are small but these were plentiful. You get a bag of chips with each order and the sandwich selection is unique with the flavors blending perfectly together. Thanks for filling our bellies and satisfying our tastebuds.

This sandwich shop was such a great find! I ordered the Westside Club and was blown away by how unique and light the flavors were, everything was perfectly balanced with an amazing mix of ingredients that worked so well together. The portion size was very generous; I couldn’t even finish it and happily took some home. On top of the great food, the atmosphere was creative, fun, and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

New little sandwich shop in downtown Morganton featuring fresh, local ingredients. Diverse menu featuring vegetarian and meat forward options, there is something for almost everyone! I highly recommend their Pisgah Melt or their Red Heat paneer sandwich (both pictured).

Phenomenal service, everyone was so kind. I ordered the firebird sandwich and you can tell they created it with a lot of thought and love. Absolutely delicious and well worth the money. Will definitely be coming back.

What a kind and accommodating establishment! I’ve been navigating a new allergy and the staff were kind enough to help me navigate some menu tweaks to make one of their sandwiches safe for me to eat. Even their chip options are free of major allergens so it’s all around very inclusive but more importantly, delicious!
I got the Midnight Stack with bread subbed for sourdough. Words fail me to describe just how wonderful this sandwhich was but above all else I MUST praise their caramelized onions. Most restaurants advertise them but don’t actually deliver. This is where Blackbox sets themselves apart. Their onions were perfectly caramelized and lend themselves so well to the sandwich.
So glad to have another sandwich shop here in town that’s really setting themselves apart from the rest. Can’t wait to try more!

So today I finally got to try out Blackbox Sandwhich and I must say they don’t disappoint. From the moment we walked in we’re greeted warmly and once we explained that it was our first visit with them they took the time to explain some of the local favorites. My husband and I both chose one of the recommended favorites and all I can say is we were impressed. I got the Westside Club and my husband got the Midnight Stack. The sandwiches were piled high and quality and flavor were top notch. They come with chips of your choice but the sandwiches by themselves are enough. I haven’t enjoyed a meal like this in a long time. If you are looking for friendly service and quality food I highly recommend you give them a try. We will be back!

One of the best sandwiches we’ve had in a long long time. Decided to check out blackbox sandwiches and boy are we thankful we did. The menu is smaller so dont let that deter you from checking them out. Staff is super friendly and checked on us multiple times even though you order at the counter. We will be making it a point to come back. Highly recommend the pinnacle and the midnight stack.

Sandwiches exceeded our expectations! West side club delicious, so many flavors in each bite. Pisgsh melt the best! Expected sliced beef with button mushrooms – no. It was tender pieces of beef similar to shredded pot roast, so tasty. And the mushrooms were not small, had absorbed the red wine they were marinated in. They alone were delicious. The cheese on this sandwich was perfect. The rye swirl bread very good. We brought a piece of a rich chocolate cake home – it had caramel, pistachios, and pecans. Absolutely decadent. Everything was outstanding. The people are friendly, love good food, and like I overheard another patron, “whoever made this really cares about what they are making here.” You can tell from the taste of the food that nothing is done quickly just to sell sandwiches. Highly recommend. Sandwiches are large, the halves we took home were excellent the next day after reheating. If you want to say the prices are a little high for sandwiches, you have to try them before you say it. All home made. Highly recommend. They said in the future, they hope to offer weekend hours and want to add soup to their menu.

This is a wonderful local sandwich shop! The ingredients are very fresh and the flavors are never boring. The menu is small, but there are enough options. The service is fast and the staff are friendly. My husband and I have eaten here multiple times. They are consistently tasty and friendly.
