Lovely place! Has the best atmosphere and the food is great! Heard they changed the menu recently but I found no lack of great options! And the cappuccino was the best I’ve had in a while! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Being that this was about 100 yards from where I live, my roommate suggested we try it out. It’s a quaint nice restaurant and we went for breakfast. Unfortunately, this place isn’t for me. EVERYTHING for breakfast included eggs. Sorry, I do not like eggs. I wanted so much to try have some French Toast but it wasn’t on the menu. Nor were pancakes. I ended up having a fruit salad and an English Muffin. The fruit seemed to be fresh. The waitress was very cordial and service was good. It’s just not a place for me. Doubtful I’d go back but I do recommend that you try it before you say you don’t like it.

I generally don’t post 5-star reviews, but my wife and I LOVED IT. Cozy little building, cute decor, easy access right off Robert Rd… but the food, wow. Crazy good. I don’t consider myself a “foodie” in the slightest, but the “Lemon Dream French Toast with sweetened cream cheese and blueberry sauce is most definitely THE best French Toast I’ve ever had. My wife had the Blackboard Benedict and it was also amazing. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend it if you want more of a “foodie” type breakfast experience.

Cool little restaurant with unique flavors for the area. Cozy with cool decor and good service. The different French Toast options are great and so are the cheesy hash browns. The kitchen is small so if it’s busy you might have to wait a bit for food, with it though.

This place was terrible. Waited 10 minutes to be a greeted and have my order taken. 35 minutes later, cold French Toast and soggy hashbrowns were delivered. Breakfast burrito was disgusting, had no flavor, bacon was flavorless rubber. Would have sent it all back, but server never bothered to return to the table after dropping off the food. Table next to us had similar reaction to their meal. Unfortunately you pay (and tip) at the counter when you order here. We were so hungry and dissatisfied we went somewhere else for breakfast. Tried calling to speak to someone about getting our money back and no one could be bothered to answer the phone. Never again….

The Blackboard Cafe is really, really good. They use organic produce from local growers in really creative and wonderful ways. For a time, there was sit down service, but they got too busy for their location. So they’ve recently gone back to taking orders at the front counter with a little more limited menu. But, it’s so good you won’t mind. Offering catering service also. Limited hours.

Just had an 86th birthday party at Blackboard Kitchen for our Mom. It was WONDERFUL! The food was absolutely excellent, they accommodated food preferences perfectly, and made room for Mom’s gifts and her wheelchair. They are definitely wonderful people; professional, kind, caring and A-mazing staff! Wouldn’t really consider anywhere else for a party that size in the future. Sis-in-law and brother ate breakfast there the next morning and said it was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our event there.

Fresh and absolutely delicious. Creative menu choices. So nice not to have the standard “diner menu” list. Owner and staff are wonderful. Highly recommend the Southern Stack and savory biscuits. Looking forward to returning again and again.

Really nice restaurant for breakfast. Their dishes are a little more ‘culinary’ than other places, but the prices are good. You can sit outside in nice weather, but they won’t allow dogs on the patio unless they are service dogs.

Incredibly food. The lemon French toast is amazing. We also had the blackboard Benedict which was also very good.Good atmosphere, friendly staff. They need to sell their pickles!
